Crystal Sword and Deatheater Sword
tl;dr: What is the point?

I get that these are swords so they benefit from the sword buffing cards, but to me these two feel like a Brad Pit's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button card version.

The Deatheater Sword is a significantly worse version of Diamond Knife and Serrated Blade, yes it has the sword tag, but for +1 mana does it worth it? Imo, no.

In general I like the idea that Diamond Knife, Serrated Blade and Deatheater Sword are basically the same card, but with a different flavor. The huge issue is that one says play me, one says draw me and one says kill with me, but I cost 2x more than the rest and I am harder to pull off. For Deatheater one could argue it is a silver card, so ok let's accept that.

However, if I build a deck and the 3 cards do the same and the easiest to pull off is draving the card (your teammates can also make you draw further buffing your deck or can make you go infinite looking at a mage blue deck), then why on Earth would I play Diamond Knife over Serrated Blade when diamond knife starts at -2 damage and costs mana to buff?

Let's move on to Crystal Sword.

Lord have mercy on this pieace of :mkguano:. 2 mana for 20 damage is garbage by default. Even if I combine it with sword or damage booster cards (+3/+2/+1), the amount of luck. upgrades and mana I would have to invest into the damage boost (like cardio double +3dng abd let's say using multiple copies) it is jut not worth ith over serrated blade or even Deatheater Sword.

The only way this card made sense to me was using it against a boss to constantly deal 20 dmg to it, but it is such a stupid thing to do and waste of resources that it does not even worth it. Let me explain why I think this.

This is how I look at warrior attack cards:
-Cards that are dealing less than 15 damage that are useful during early game only.
-Low damage aoe cards (less than 12) that are only useful early game against spiders and other trash minions.
-AOE cards that can help the warrior keep his teammates alive and boost aoe mages and Brujah.
-Cards that deal 10 dmg to kill skeletons.
-Cards that deal 15 dmg which I consider medium damage. These are worth being in the deck as these allow you to execute medium sized enemies such as scorpions.
-Cards that deal at least 25 damage, preferably 30+. which allows the warrior to one hit the highest hp enemies.
-Specialized cards that require you to build your deck around them such as Deatheater or Serrated or Diamond knife or Shadow Sword.

In general there are 3+1 types of warrior damage cards:
-against squishy
-15 dmg
-25+ dmg
-aoe
Everything else is pointless (based on my playstyle)

The above 3 categories allows the warrior to remove key target from the board instantly that threathens your teammates.

So what is up with Crystal Sword?

This card is 80% garbage.

issues:
-2 mana is way to expensive for this :mkguano: . This is a reverse Whack 'em all. That card gets the better you "play" it up to 3 turns and Crystal Sword kills itself and you after 3 plays. Play it 3 times and it does 5 damage for 2 mana and then it also debuffs itself and does 0 dmg and makes itself unbuffable for 2 mana. WOW what an amazing card, not!

This card is such an insult, a spit in the face. Who designed this? What is the point?
Ok you can remove 1 big enemy, 1 medium enemy. a 10/10 skeleton and then 1 spider for 8 mana. Garbage.

Alternatively, you could have serrated blade, remove a spider, then play card draws and now you got a 1 mana 10 damage sowrd you can play in the same round, then a teammate gives you mana and or draw and now you deal 15 damage and everything after that is just full Rambo mode. Almost 0 investment and it does so much more damage for half the price.

So this is how I see it. I belive that you guys planned this to be a large threat removal at turn 1 and then you pay the price for let's say saving 15 incoming damage with having a dead card for the rest of the game. If this is true this card is trash.

What am I missing? Is this a good card and I am just not experienced enough? Is this card bad on purpose to teach the new players what is valuable and what is not? Is this an early unlock that is trash on purpose, but looks strong when you have and know no better?

Imo this card is so bad and the fact that Deatheater Sword, Serrated Blade and Diamond knife are essentially the same card, it forces warrior players to have 2 real options.
-go full shield and shield damage
-build a Shadow Sword deck.

Am I wrong or do these card really ruin the Warrior's variety?

(I like to play Diamond Knive and Serrated Blade decks, but still they are just a pizza with a different flavor.)

What do you think?

Yeah I'd like to see crystal sword get buffed. In general I'd like to see buff's to the sword playstyle of warrior so there's an actual reason to play it over the block build.

To ur other point tho i almost never play tank/dmg warrior if i paly with a friend i almost exclusively play support warrior with vigor/cauterize and battlejuice, is really easy to go infinite with this build IMO

I have had some success stamina bursting crystal sword to chunk antipope. It was a major component of both my turn 1 kills thus far.

Crystal sword would obviously feel much better with a bit more damage or at 1 mana, but I'm not sure it's as bad as you think.

Deatheater sword is 100% garbage though, never had it be useful.

I did some test runs and now I see the power of this card.

I completly missed how this sword should be used as I looked at it from a solo point of view.

This is how it can turn into a broken card, but it needs 2 players and a lot of luck.

Tl;dr:
-Mage freezes the boss.
-You have at least one Ice Breaker (2 mana silver card: Your swords and Jis deal double damage to frozen monsters. Exhaust.) I would either have at least 2 of this or I would stamina burst it.
-Warrior has Dusty sandals. A rare items that makes your swords deal double damage: 2x20(40).

If you played Ice Breaker 2 times and you have Dusty Sandals and the boss is frozen, now your Crystal Sword deals 20x2(40)x2(80)x2(160) and the boss Arch demon dies for 2 mana.
