Emerald sandstone

ok i am having a hard time finding emerald sunstone, i have unlocked flower valley thing, supposedly its from there, but i dont see any nodes to mine, and i am killing everything and nothing, which monster i am supposed to be killing? in order to get emerald sunstone? i also need like mirror sand and loam sandstone, but i guess i dont have unlocked that area either, any good and kind soul can help me please? =(

They're all rare drops from the corresponding rocks (mined or killed) just like the blue and red ones from the mines. The green ones will first spawn in the flower valley (not yuhua) in as early as the first room you enter from. Mirror and loam are first found in another mystic realm unlocked further down the main quest line.

Yeah, that was a bit confusing. Getting building requests using materials you don't unlock until dozens of quests later, when you can get access to the corresponding realms.

I seem to be blocked for several seaons with buildings that require Emerald sandstone, but I can't unlock the flower valley. I have done all the main quests until rebuilding residence on the eastern peak. I have read somewhere that I need some friendship level from Li before she discovers the flower valley. Is that true? Is progress really locked behind friendship levels? Which level is required? I have 1 heart and so far nothing. If I have to grind another heart I think I will quit - it's so mind numbingly boring...

I don't think it's more than 1 heart, but there are also some quests you have to do, and one is hidden by being a location bound event.
Even then, giving people a favorite gift once a day and speaking to them is +10 affection a day and caps them out pretty quickly.

In the game press escape, click on quest, then click on the sect journal tab at the top. From there you can use your mouse to drag left and right to see any quests you have missed. Greyed out quests with a orange box and a question mark inside indicate that you can unlock that quest. Mouse over the orange box to find out how. Keep completing the sect journal and you will eventually unlock additional dungeons and features.

Thanks guys, found the sect journal and I was missing a quest which required coming to the inn's stairs between 18:00 and 20:00. Bonkers, I could have done that like 2 RL days ago and instead I spent this time trying to finish all other quests and slowly getting blocked on all other features... They really should have had this quest trigger in another way rather than relying on sect journal.
