[BUG] Eastern Sunset Forest Quest

I've upgraded my axe to the highest level a while ago. But Now I have a quest to open the Eastern part of Sunset Forest, which I've already opened. I went there and nothing happened. The quest didn't advance. I'm assuming this is because the trigger is the chopping of the trees, which already happened. But this quest blocks the last few quests of the game. Anyone know how to get it to trigger or trick it into triggering?

That the path is already open shouldn't be an issue. If there is nothing to find, you might need to either talk with Song or wait for a letter. (I don't remember exactly, but during my two full playthroughs, I had the entrance to the east cleared early on both times, too.)

Thank you!~ You were right I killed a boss talked to Song normally next time I went into Eastern Forest it triggered the next step of the quest.

Just wanted to respond to this one in case anyone else is looking, but if you hug the top right wall it triggers a text box saying you should look for Sister Song. I'm pretty sure you can do this as soon as the quest is received.
