Fishing mini-game

Am I the only one who thinks that fishing mini-game is a bit too hard? I encountered 3 fishing mini-games and sadly I lost all of them :(

I'm really curious what fishes are there and hope I would not need them for quests or crafting, because other way, I'm in trouble.

Any advice from those who are good at this mini-game?

Well the only thing you have to make sure of is that you don't pull in the line at the first nibble.

Just have a bit patience - the fish will test the bait a few times before it actually bites.

The swimmer will go down with an audibly different 'splash' sound when it is time.
Then just hit reel and you automatically pull the fish out.

Rainy weather will make fishing slightly harder, so my suggestion is - try on a sunny day.

Thank you for answering, but I mean the new fishing mini-game for legendary fish which was implemented after the update. The one where you need to remember where a fish swims and then repeat it.

Unfortunately I am not that far into the update yet - I am currently stuck after rebuilding the Cloud Bridge because thanks to a new bug, brother Xie won't give me the Cloud Sword.

I'm waiting for another hotfix before I play again.

So far I've caught 3 legendary fish... they all are of the same type, and their use is not clear yet.....I just kind of repeat verbally when the arrows are moving up down left right....and immediately use the WSAD key to copy the motions shown...I think there are 3 or 4 rounds of this and it gets progressively harder each round....it does take a little practice to get used to though~~

I have managed to catch 2 of them so far: Kun fish (whale) in the Ocean region and Ran Yi fish (crocodile) in the Flower region. The crocodile was really hard to catch. I thought it would be easier, because it was in an earlier (easier) region, but no. So the fishes are not the same, the prices are the same though.

oh dear goddess.... memory repetition for legendaries
and here I thought fishing wouldn't become a hassle.
I just started game today, felt good when I was able to finish a krill quest.

I really don't like these memory games. I would prefer if it was a timed game where you have like 5 sec to press the keys..let's say 3 or 4 rounds and bar gets progressively filled until we catch. I am in their discord so I can recommend it. Another thing I find it makes it boring for me is the amount of time we need to fish to get anything rare or let alone legendary. I didnt know about the mini game when I hooked my first and only one and I was on the phone with my mom so of course, I lost it. Took me 2 days of continuous fishing (with stamina food on me) to catch the tortoise minister.
