actually that happens to me too. twice. i'm pretty sure i choose rat event, and then at some point turn out i'm fighting normal conquest final boss instead of rat final boss. when you fail or complete rat conquest, better just go back to main menu then start the event again by picking your previous save file.
to answer your question :
- the event complete after you defeat the 4th boss
- you don't need to create new save file. just use your previous save. to be safe, go back to main menu > pick rat mode > pick your previous save slot. repeat if you die or complete rat conquest
Thanks.
I thought by selecting an existing save slot for the event, it would erase the existing save, and replace it with a new one.
If I get to keep progress, that's cool. I'll give it a go tomorrow, and see if I can progress further. :)
I finally reached the 4th "path" for the first time, but from the icon on the map I see the boss I'll fight it's called "Lord of Serpents".
So, I guess this run won't count for the rat event (I may have hit "re-start", and forgot about it). Oh well, at least I have started to unlock the buildings in the village.
Just curious: what's the name of the rat boss?
Thanks
T1 is either Golem or Vrans warband
T2 is either Derenheim Winterbane or the kraken (currently not in the game)
T3 is lord of serpents
T4 is foredweller (or rat-king in this event)
Disclaimer: not necessarily the correct names :D
Thanks. ;)
Weird, I think I defeated 3 bosses.
One on the path to the top.
Another to the left.
Then, after defeating that boss, another path opened to the left (lower left, I believe).
And I got 3 X 500 points in the currency needed for constructions.
And now, I have this one on the bottom.
I guess I miscounted. :)
Since I went back to clear the fights I skipped, and a lot of those were rats, maybe my run will still count, if I'm successful.
T2 gives 1000, so 1500 would support that :D
Good luck! I hope it does! :)
Well... good news: it seems my game will (would) count for the event, since I reached the 4th boss, and it's the Rat King that appears as the boss.
But, I just can't beat him.
I barely have potions left, my weapons barely do any damage to him, and with him spawning 4 mice all the time, I'm not making a dent at him. And he has 15000 life points.
The legendary dragon was quite hard for me, and I barely won.
And now, this one seems beyond my current reach.
It's there anything I can do in this game ("farm" potions? any tips for this boss)?
Or, should I just abandon it, and start a new one?
I really need better equipment.
So far, I "built" the buildings for the blacksmith, the seamstress, the man-at-arms, and the ghost "gambler" (by mistake; I was gambling, and quickly pressed the mouse button, and it built an upgrade).
At the blacksmith, I spent a total of 30 materials. 20 for a level 2 weapon (which is quite frankly mediocre), and a level 1 armor (which is barely better than the one I can buy at the very start).
This event isn't very newbie friendly...
can't give you any tips about it. different class got different solution.
but one thing i'm pretty sure, any fight become a lot harder if there is multiple enemies in a fight so it's my rule of thumb to get rid the weakest 1st asap.
there is 2 items which greatly help you in a tough fight : Acid Flask and Runestone.
acid flask from arms master, runestone from ghost shop.
another useful items is leaves, tomes, oil. but those items highly depend on your build.
any item drops or gold generated randomly and very limited so there is no way to farm, if you ran out of resource then all you can do is brave the fight!
for blacksmith i suggest you save mats at least 40 to trade the strongest weapon/armor. unlocked weapon/armor carried over to next run. keep unlocking the strongest equipment till there is nothing left to unlock.
Otherwise you could take a look here - it might be a tad outdated, but the general tips should still be valid :)
