Re8 Fatal Application Error
Every time I launch the game, I receive an error stating the following,

"Village: re8.exe - Exit due to an application error
I opened my Resident Evil Village and a screen appears: C: Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ commom \ Resident Evil Village BIOHAZAERD VILLAGE \ re8.exe "d: \\ reengine \\ reengine \\ gitroot \\ runtime \\ modules \\ render \\ os \\ renderdevicedx12.cpp "10004 D3D12CreateDeviceFailed Please restart your computer. "

Has anyone found the solution to this issue?
My computer has the requirements and my drivers are updated.

The "D3D12CreateDeviceFailed" error occurs if your video card/device doesn’t support DirectX 12 and RE8 requires DX12 to run. If you're running this on a laptop, are you sure RE8 is trying to run on a DX12 compatible video card/device, or maybe is trying to run off the CPU (like Intel HD Graphics for example which might not be DX12 compatible)?

No, I'm not on a laptop. I think I figured out why it won't run though. The CAPCOM Installer Message saying, "You need to Install "VIDEO CODEC: WMVideo Decoder" To start the game", but it won't install and I'm not too sure where to download it. The only places I can find it are on some super sketchy sites. Any ideas?
