Plague Tale
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Call of Cthulhu
Vampyr (the only I couldn't complete coz it became too boring)
yes and no , village takes more place in balkans (romania/bulgaria/) and while romanians are somewhat slavic , they are also balcanians
as for similar games im suprised noone recomended deadspace , while it is sci-fi it is very grounded scifi
Older resident evil games , particulary resident evil 5 could fit your bill but it takes place in undisclosed african country
Tormented souls (propobly the best spiritual successor to resident evil 1/2/3 games)
alan wake 1/2 is good picks
evil within 1/2 also has a bit similar horror vibes but its very wierd , i not hated it but its hard to recomend it
there is alweys legendary sillent hill , but unless you want to play original 1/2 and maybe 3 , remake was ok but goes more resident evil 4 , but if that fits your vibe remake could work for you
