Finally beat the lycan attack on VoS with no special crap...
Literally fug that ♥♥♥♥. Took like 30+ tries and I made it by the absolute skin of my teeth. The encounter is just way overtuned. I'm sure the rest of VoS is a challenge but I'm willing to bet real money nothing moving forward will be that insane again.

Also the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ arrows actually destroy you as well in VoS, along with everything else that goes on. It's donkeyballs.

mental note: when making things harder than they need to be they become harder than they need to be.

I played VoS with some of the best possible upgrades.

Heisenberg: I'm about to end your slow cruise through this mode.

What point are you even trying to make here? That something can'tbe grossly overtuned/balanced half-assedly in higher difficulties?

Diablo 3 Legendary when the game first dropped: "LoL wE jUsT tOoK alL tHe hArdmOde sTatS & jUsT dOuBlEd tHeM aCrOsS tHe bOaRd!1!!11"

It was a horrible, lazy design choice that made the game nigh unplayable and they eventually had to go in and do actual work balancing it. It happens.

This moment should have been much later in the game. What were they thinking? It's literally an arena with an invisible timer which counts down towards allowing a random chance for a cutscene to activate in order to progress. There are little to no resources to defend yourself and no indication of what you are supposed to do besides: "SURVIVE!!!".

It killed all the suspense for me, since, before I figured out what in the world I am supposed to do, I spend like an hour there dying and then reading the internet for advice. I guess I am in the wrong expecting to use my head to solve a puzzle in a survival game instead of running circles around, hoping for a cutscene to pop-up and diffuse the situation. :fardy:

Good job with beating it! Know what there are people who feel your pain...

I totally agree. I actually started playing this on Hardcore when I first got it, got to that part, got my ass creamed a dozen times, and finally just started a Standard game in frustration. Then you're stuck with that event which is still a challenge yet manageable, and an extremely easy rest of the game. The difficulty spike during that event (across all modes) can't possibly be wholly intended, and if it was I really have no clue what Capcom was thinking.

I found heisenberg to be completely free every time i fought him, for me it's the only disappointing boss fight.

AMEN, BROTHER! Reading all the complains about how easy the game is made me choose hardcore as well. Reaching this moment, however, nearly made me drop the game! I was confused and frustruated. Even more baffling was to find no discussion about this moment being hard. Made me feel like it is almost my fault that 'I don't get it' and everyone else is having jolly-good time. I am not sure I would still play it if it weren't for detailed guides spelling out that the game failed: survive for 6 minutes and a cutscene MAY appear. Randomly.

Very well designed for the players who have about two to three hits before dying, no ammo, surrounded by a swarm of armed werewolfs in a narrow location, and an ambiguous task: 'SURVIVE THE ATTACK!'. Would be cool late game to have fun killing monsters. Not so running laps around in hopes for a cutscene!

Thank you for making the thread. Hopefully more unfortunate souls will read it and be able to regain their sanity and went off some steam.
