After the latest patch..

I heard the game got 2 patches already and I'm wondering if things got fixed or crapcom still didn't made any progress towards performance issue. Anyone had any problems yet?

Having the same problems I started having a month after it released. If I run it on high, I get potato FPS. If I run it on low, it looks like trash. With my setup I'm supposed to be getting somewhere around 120 fps on the highest settings, right now I'm lucky if I get 30

Same just tried playing since beating the game back in May, 24FPS with the same settings I used previously. No idea what happened since then. CPU usage was extremely high too.

With latest patch I've been having better performance. My fps no longer goes to a crawl when encountering the sisters/flies. Still some hitching here and there but more playable for sure

I haven't noticed any difference apart from the settings I had my GPU temps now spikes to 75 degrees on my RX580 8GB before it would sit around 68 ambi temps are the same, I'm using the same set-up drivers etc but I had lower texture quality I think from 3GB to 2GB and dropped the temps to around 71.

Dont know what the f is going on but I can play Resident Evil 2 Remake and it doesn't send my temps up as much

Probably never. Or Until they remove DRM which won't happen until next year.

After last patches my game run much better than ever. If previously i had stutters while death of every npc in game (or most of them), and also got weird stutters and fps drops in different scenes (like fights with dimitrescu daughters), so now in same moments of gameplay it runs very smooth without any troubles. I wonder that capcom decided to release this impactful update after almost 3 month, and it's surprisingly that it really work. But yes, I have good fps not at all game, but it's because of my poor PC, but in most moments i have stable 60 fps with drops to 40 (it's fine, so i'm not complain), and it's became higher than earlier. What's configuration of your pc?

What problem are we having with TAA? Running much better for myself with latest patches. No hitches, swarm or enemy death stutters.

The TAA barely works. Look at anything with sharp edges like trees, branches, tall grass, fences, etc, and they're a shimmery mess. The TAA was much better in RE7, RE2, RE3, and Devil May Cry 5. Even the console version of Village has working TAA, but the PC version is worse.

Game was working fine on mine but with the 2nd patch it made a huge difference in FPS going upwards

A second Resident Evil Village performance patch is releasing on Steam starting August 24th UTC. The patch addresses the following:

- Fixed an issue where certain CPUs were unable to launch the game
- Minor fine-tuning of certain graphical processes

Ahh. Yeah I can see that being pretty noticeable @ 1080p. Hope it gets fixed for ya. Have you tried Disabling the FidelityFX CAS. I know its nothing to do with AA, but it may help with the textures being overly sharpened. My help with shimmering.

FPS wise the game runs fine on my AMD rx6700xt but the TAA issue that makes it look like i have film grain nailed on has never been fixed with any patch. mildly annoying but playable. shame in this day and age but i assumed it was the RTX issue as Nvidea's were have a ♥♥♥♥ storm with the game in general. strange though as i have a few RTX enabled games now and this one has by far the most issues and i dont even have a nvidea.

I play at 1440p and the aliasing is still very strong unfortunately. All the FSR and other shader performance options are disabled. It's a well-documented problem - even Digital Foundry noted it in their PC vs console comparisons. The TAA is just broken on PC for some reason. Xbox Series X has much better AA when you see them side-by-side in 4K.
