Do you mean Alice: Madness Returns? It's a rare thing to hear anyone mention that game. Even more rare to hear of American McGee's Alice...
Miranda knew Spencer directly before he created Umbrella. She had her own vision of ruling the world just as Spencer did. The difference is she uses the Cadou which is a hybrid mold and nematode parasite. Cadou is fundamentally a modified mold version similar to Las Plagas but grants the host additional abilities like the C-virus.
Something that OP failed to understand apparently or skipped all the reading content. The game is fine as it is. RE6 is an absolute circus to the point even the developers knew it was bad. It was solely created to cater towards online game-play. The new RE4 remake lost what originally made it great and hallowed out its atmosphere with forgettable music and lack of ambiance.
At least with RE8 the characters and story are rememberable along with the atmosphere. The hidden motif in RE8 that seems to go over a lot of people's heads is that the villains in RE8 are homages to Vampires, Death, Swamp Monster, Frankenstein and Werewolves. The four legged wolf/lycan is a human injected with Cadou and wolf blood. This was even written out on paper as lore for the player.
You can't correct other people by trying to disguise an obsolete fan-theory as fact.
There's no Ethan Winters in RE5. There's an "Ethan W.", one of the top level researchers involved in the Progenitor research in Africa, and that file is from around the time of the Raccoon City destruction in 1998. That Ethan was already a high clearance researcher in the 90s, working with Spencer who knows for how long. RE7 takes place in 2017, so the ages don't add up. Ethan Winters was just an ordinary guy working as a system engineer before the RE7 events.

You mean the thing people have been whining about non-stop since the trailers came out?
"Werewolves and vampires aren't RE!" has been a constant thing from them.
No. The motif is to the original horror stories. People complaining about werewolves and vampires not being RE are people who do not understand what Resident Evil is even about. This is not "Zombie Evil" or "Resident Zombie." Resident Evil / Bio-hazard is about B.O.W.s and surviving around environments/creations of evil.
The game literally beats you in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ face with it.
