switching ammo

using the grenade launcher, have both types of ammo, see an icon "F" near ammo count/type, but it won't let me switch ammo type.

what am I doing wrong?

Try aiming first, then press F and it should change your ammo.

I had to aim first then F. Its weird you cant do that without aiming
