-but you can hide it and even keep it uninstalled-
i did the same thing with RE: Resistance, which was packaged with RE 3 Remake.
No big deal actually...
"If you proceed, your account USERNAME will no longer own the following products:
Resident Evil Re:Verse
View in Store"
If you don't like the multiplayer game being included then you dont have to install it, I think its actually nice that you can get 1 additional game to your library.
I don't think anybody should do the manual deletion from steam support page, since if you want to play it someday in the future you won't have a way to get it back to your library without buying again
To add, "removing" a game from your account will also take 1 off the "games owned" badge and remove the XP for it.
Even the 90s FPS games like Half Life and Deus Ex had multiplayer modes.(Even some 2D RPG games like Nox had it as well)
Besides, with averaging around 2K+ players for Village daily on steam and numbers seem to be dropping after holiday sales. No one is going to care about RV when it does come out.
I sure wont be installing the game again for it. Capcom should scrap it all together. It has such little fan support. Take those resources and put them to better DLC or RE4R.
I cannot imagine they got honest positive feedback regarding RE Resistance, according to Steam reviews it has a wonderful 32% Mostly Negative rating (a terrible rating in other words) and then they turn around to try and make the same type of game....but "better"......but I'm under the impression like only 2% of users actually care about that type of game. it's an astonishing example of how out of touch they can be. I would have been very appreciative if they put the time/effort into DLC for RE8 rather than a separate game all together like RE Verse. I have zero interest in ever playing RE Verse and it's also a bit bizarre they are not giving any real updates (that I know of) on it's progress or release date. this game is going to be a year old in a couple months and the best they can tell us is "2022" for a release date for Verse lmao someone(s) is dropping the ball on this whole ordeal
Also, again, Capcom used no resources on either REsis or VERSE besides money. REsis and VERSE were both made by a third party. Capcom is a multi billion dollar company and them not funding those 2 games wouldn't have given RE8 more budget, it's not how the industry works. Capcom isn't a small indie dev who has to turn over every dime twice, they spend money on what they want to spend money on. If "market research" says they should invest in a spin-off then they'll do that.
Don't ask me what their marketing and research team is smoking though, Capcom's been out of touch for the past few years. They put a date of death on REsis and had VERSE in development in early 2020 already. They knew people loved RE7's and RE2's DLCs, yet neither RE3 nor RE8 got any DLC. You could make the argument that those MP games are the "DLC", but people who generally play RE don't care about PvP games.
Capcom simply put has no idea what they're doing right now. RE3 was mismanaged, REsis was planned to die only 6 months after release, VERSE will be the same and RE8 was heavily mismanaged too due to "focus group" feedback and how RE7 was received. It's a sad sight to behold.

most of those reviews came after its update that threw balance ouy the window and resulted in counterintuitive play. it used to be positive
