Intro "spoilers"?
So back when I bought this game, I remember seeing a negative review where the guy was saying that one of the intro setting screens (brightness config and such) "literally spoiled a part of the ending" or something, and he was saying that you should close your eyes and mash the Enter button to get past all of it before reaching the main menu or whatever.

I didn't continue reading the review because I didn't want to get spoiled (lol), but quickly after I forgot about this. In fact, I don't remember seeing anything "spoilery" when I first booted up the game. Now that I've beaten it and the DLC, I randomly remember this review and I got curious: What was the supposed spoiler? I can't access the first-boot settings anymore, since they only appear when you play the game for the first time, and I honestly don't remember the content of any of the demonstration screens.

Maybe you misremember the negative review? The review "intro spoiler" things was probably just complaining about the fairytale told at the beginning of the game.

Explanation The fairytale "spoils" the game as it foretales the games structure; The little girl meets a bat, death, fish king then a horse. In game Ethen meets Lady Dimistiwhatever (bat), Donna (death), Moreau (fish) then Karl Hensthing (horse)

Nah it was definitely about the intro configuration screens, I distinctly remember that because I thought it was quite odd then. I'll try to find the review again, wish me luck :b

It's made up, lol. Only thing you see on the brightness calibration screen are some PNG's of the typewriter and some random coin.
