how to survie the attack at the village?

i tried for 3 hours.
survived for 5 mins in a row running between the houses and all exits are locked.
the big guy comes out and they still kill me all the time.
how am i supposed to escape?


im about to skip the game to be honest.

I don't remember how long you have to survive for but all you have to do is survive long enough for a cutscene to happen. Just keep running, use the ladder in the one house and the roof. You're not looking for a way out just surviving long enough.

just keep running and fighting until the bell tolls like in Resident Evil 4.

You need to buy yourself time, like: barricade first house door, hide in its basement and wait near the flour sack, when an enemy comes down and find you shoot the flour sack and escape through the square hole in the wall. Run to the nearest house, barricade entrance there too, shoot whoever is trying to break through the door left window (not to kill them) just to slow them down. When they break in and surround you shoot the explosive barrel and run out of that house. Then you can run back to the first house and hide there some more, or try the other explosive barrel near the village square entrance.

It's not 100% reliable, and you don't necessarily have to do all that, it's just something that more or less works, but there might be other better strats. But luck also factors, like how much time it takes for Lycans to find you out in the basement, or whether or not Urias ends up actually helping you by smashing the enemies trying to break through the second house.

Keep in mind the timer stops when you're in the middle of a ladder, so you can't just wait there safely until time runs out.
