I think Lady Dimitrescu is a great character, and I've tried to like this game, but I believe that it's too difficult. I have spent HOURS trying to navigate the way through the Village (the area where the altar is), but I'm stuck here. Surely, I'm not the only one.

What does your current objective say? It'll be on the left side of the screen when you open your inventory.

It is very streamlined man, basically tells you where to go. Not sure how youve gotten stuck.

Yeah most of this game is basically linear and honestly a disappointment from the perspective of someone who likes t he older RE games. So if you're getting lost I really don't know what to tell you. Just go where you haven't been before.

7 was my first game and I got stuck because I wasn't using the map. I was so new to RE games that I didn't even know there could be an item inside an item.

Village I quit for a while because I kept over writing my saves. For some reason I would forget to quit and then load a game. Could of been the beers and late night playing :D

So yeah, I made some pretty basic mistakes being new to the series.

Look at your map and red areas are important. There is something you have to find or use in these areas. Also you can highlight something on the map to remind you what is needed. Like a certain key for a locked door.

would help if you'd say what specifically you're having trouble with. Killing enemies? getting ammo or resources? staying alive? getting to the objective?

Sorry! I'm trying to make my way through the village and on to the next locale, whatever hat is. I try to get to the red/unexplored areas but can't find a/the way to do so. I realize that's not much help. I'll keep wandering around and might stumble on some answers.

Open your inventory, look on the top left of the screen. It'll list your current objective.

That'll make it easier to help.
