I tried the demo and it does indeed look just as amazing as Village. Not a big fan of 3rd person RE games so I'll wait for a sale and pick it up in the future, but any 1st person RE releases I buy on day 1
there are a few that look better like horizon forbidden west, cyberpunk 2077 or dead space remake tho
There are dozens of games out there better looking than Village.
For better visuals, I would say I'm more impressed with Cyberpunk RT OVERDRIVE, and I think Horizon Forbidden West is completely insane looking, definitely impressed me more the RE8, and that's on a PS4 pro. Though I guess it's not on PC yet.
But yeh, RE8 is still really impressive and I barely played an hour of it. I can't wait to see what capcom can do with a pure next gen title!
Red Dead 2 looks great, but the lighting definitely feels very dated after playing Cyberpunk RT Overdrive, the lack of proper global illumination, even prebaked makes everything non global illuminated just feel dated in my opinion : /
I only played the demo of RE4R, but I couldn't get it looking or playing as good. Of course it's my computer but don't give me the exact same system requirements with different results.
Metro Exodus look really good, but the load times were so long. That's another thing about Village, the load times are good!
p.s.
Changed my mind about getting the other remakes because the 3rd person made me dizzy. For a $15 bundle, you get both games. They actually look pretty good too.
I still like first person the best.
Absolutely nothing beats Cyberpunk 2077 with RT Overdrive (RTO) ON - neither HZD nor horizon forbidden west on the latest consoles -, but we NEED to consider that it is basically still just a beta.
Just imagine the quality of graphical enhancements that they will deliver in later stages of RTO?
I have a ps5 and in that console I have still have not seen anything that even comes close to the RTO's level of graphical quality.
