I tried to play the game last night with default FOV and it was awful , i have a 48 inch oled screen and the game looked ridiculous.
tried the old fov fix on nexus mods but seems capcom has patched it and threatened the author of the mod with legal action.
tried Re Framework and it worked perfectly.
Its super simple to use, download the zipfile from their github page
https://github.com/praydog/REFramework/releases
download the RE8.zip file
inside you will find a file called dinput8.dll
just dump that into the folder where you installed resident evil 8 ,
in my case it was in : \steamapps\common\Resident Evil Village BIOHAZARD VILLAGE
you can use steam to jump to that folder:
go to library , right click on the game , select manage > Browse local game files
just run the game and you will see a tiny menu pop up on the left , you can look for a section called Camera , inside you will find the FOV settings for normal and when aiming with a weapon
theres more stuff in there like free camera , you can just leave your body and just float around the map looking at stuff lol
Man, you are a true Hero, thank you so much !
Thanks a lot man
Thank you very much. The game is much more fun now.
Plus one comment. What the Heck is the problem with Capcom. Threatening legal action for a mod that allows players to enjoy the game at a sensible FOV. It's just stupid.
Luckily the first two posters here provided an excellent solution.
