So does it play better without Denuvo now?
I'm aware of the whole denuvo is fine vs denuvo makes games run worse discourse but I'm not particularly knowledgeable on the validity of those claims. Can somebody confirm if there's a performance increase now?

I'll confirm something... Those who say Denuvo is "that bad", simply don't have a clue

Other than the executable being smaller in size there's absolutely no difference,
maybe for some it's a quarter of an fps better, but that's about it.

i remember there was a bit at the release of re8 where popping headshots would freeze the game for a moment, wasnt that due to bad denuvo?

That was due to capcom's anti cheat, which got patched out long ago.

If I understand correctly. There have been videos on youtube of people "proving" Denuvo does impact performance. Typically from my understanding in CPU bound games or places. Hogwarts legacy for example has many areas that are CPU bound. However it's entirely possible the none Denuvo versions of games they tested were simply running better for other reasons? Like difference in games on Steam VS GOG etc?

Maybe I am wrong but that's kind of how I understand it. So it depends on the title. I forget what game but I think I remember seeing around 15 FPS difference in one video. But I don't know if that was average, 1% low or max. Who knows.

CORRECTION/Update: I just went and scimmed though some videos. It seems like some titles are the same. Some are 2-4FPS difference. In fact at least one game seemed to show 1FPS more for having Denuvo. Either way 1-2 FPS is nothing. So any that are not at least 3-4 or more really does not matter. Anything less than that can be an artifact in the benchmark process anyways. Some titles dropped 10 FPS after removing it.

Which means likely titles that improve by 10 FPS too like I swear I have seen that benchmark. It really does depend on the game and other factors.

You can confirm that no-one knows what Denuvo does but YOU know fully what it doesn't do. The ego on you....

The real question is: is Capcom's DRM solution also got stealthily removed with this update? Considering it a layer on top of Denuvo and all?

It has been gone since like two months after the game came out.

The game have been cracked a VERY VERY LONG TIME anyways. So it doesn't matter, game was released On May 7th, 2021 & Torrent has been up since July 10th, 2021. All these idiots ever do is Give Denuvo a free lunch and make these idiots rich for serving ZERO purpose. Now. let's see how long steam takes to ban me for stating facts. Report on you idiots.
...No, no it hasn't. It was absolutely not up on pirate sites UNTIL today 🤣

Seems to run exactly the same on my end. Not seeing any differences. Same framerate and frametimes.

If you ignore the games where Denuvo does impact performance, sure.

But I can't believe there's actually Denuvo shills out there.

Haven't noticed a difference, that whacky Ethan is still up to his old shenanigans regardless.

for me the problem was never really sheer framerate but what certainly felt like a memory leak. where short playsessions (30 min in 1 area) ran like a dream but if i got engaged and played for 4 hours after 30 min to 2 hours i was be actively ignoring frame drops and stutters that would magically disappear if i restart the game. and that could almost be triggered by picking 1 side of the game, running to the opposite side going through multiple area's. the more seperate area's you go through the harder it seemed to crumble.
