What does "lens distortion" do exactly?
Wondering if this is better on or off.

Like chromatic aberration, it's a crap setting that simulates the view through a cheap camera lens. So, distortion at the edges of the screen for lens distortion. Chromatic aberration breaks the RGB channels in the corners of the screen.

It's the kinda thing you get with crappy point and shoot disposable cameras.

Neither is not something that should EVER be included in a first person game unless you're playing as a junkpile robot or something.

Turn both off.

Name a logical reason for a viewpoint representing a human eye to have effects that are the result of a ♥♥♥♥ lens in a camera.

Y'know. An effect that you AVOID intentionally in photography.

Isn't it fun when people always play the contrarian towards things that make logical sense? WIth loud and obnoxious ones ruining the point you're trying to make tainting a genuine thread because someone says something really stupid. I really hate it when people try to play devils adovate or use a straw man fallacy without evidence to back up their dumb statements. In a comedic way that person still hasn't been able to provide you an answer which only proves the validity of your statement more.
