"skip scene" prompt during cutscenes
Is there a way to specifically switch that off? It is very annoying in the cutscenes it appears as soon as you touch the mouse, and also some cutscenes are slightly interactive (in the sense that you can look around) so can't even say "just don't touch the mouse".

IS there a way to disable that prompt?

Also in photo mode...the text at the bottom "all rights reserved" that is just a horrible thing to do.

Why do game companies insist on ruining their cutscenes with this ♥♥♥♥?

because imagine having to sit through a 2m cutscene every time you are going to re attempt some bossfight as you are doing some challenge run

im so glad i didnt have to watch maranda's cutscene with rose every time i was taking an attempt at fighting maranda on new game village of shadows

the choice to skip cutscene is there because people who are doing re-runs (for challenges speedrun etc) dont want to see it all over and over again

Oh, I get it. It's impossible to skip the cutscene unless the instructions on how to skip the cutscene are on the cutscene the whole time.

Please. Gamers aren't dumb. All they have to do is make the cutscene skippable with a button, they don't have to plaster instructions on how to use it on the screen all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥' time. It doesn't need to show up because the cursor gets bumped, or a screenshot key is pressed, or anything else.

Lupin: I think Geordiebroon misunderstood your comment, I think he understood that you meant "why do players want to ruin the game by skipping cutscenes" but you meant just why the COMPANIES ruin gamers' experiences by not putting the option of skipping (regardless if the "skip button" gets displayed on screen or not).

One thing that otherwise makes me crazy sometimes it's skipping a cutscene by mistake (because maybe I hit a button by mistake) and it skips it altogether instead of asking you "do you want to skip" (happens with few games, mostly indie games).

Or another thing: not being able to PAUSE the cutscene (what if somebody rings at the door or whatever) that is another thing often missing.

So the perfect cutscene is like this:

- you can skip it (better by holding a key, not by a single press to avoid accidents)
- you can pause it
- you don't get an annoying prompt on screen if you are not pressing anything (as in the case of RE Village)

Marvel's Midnight Suns allows you to skip cut scene by press and hold on E key till the circle is full then cutscene is skipped. Can't remember which game or RE game can press escape to pause a cutscene.

For anyone else coming across this post, Fluffy's Mod Manager comes with this small fix available in the "Downloads" section. Considering I would recommend this mod manager over the trash Nexus Mods' "Vortex" manager, it's pretty much a free bonus.

Just open the mod manager, "Choose game" on the right, select "Resident Evil Village" from the list and then on the right again, choose "Downloads" and it'll be in there, just scroll down. Click it to download it, select "Mod list" from the right and then click the toggle to enable the mod.

Voila, you never have to see that annoying prompt again and can take screenshots 'til your heart's content.

Thank u so so so much my friend !Im a screenshot maniac. That prompt is just annoying as hell. U really fixed my madness haha:steammocking::steammocking::steammocking:
