Well I dont see a problem with DLC not being free since its been more than year anyway. Its not like they promised shadows of rose specifically to be free and then suddenly changed their mind.

I see a problem with a company setting people up for an expectation and then lying to them.

Some unknown portion of Re8 DLC was supposed to be free. Now none of it is. Capcom lied.

If you read the articles you would of realized they were taking the free DLC part from Capcom's annual report. Here is a snippet of that part:

"building a business model for online operations, taking into account the situation of our free additional DLC for titles such as Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village."

You see the part that says building a business model for online operations? Followed by talking about the DLC. Well, thats talking about Re:Verse because its online. Just like MH is online.

As stated Capcom will not have any future content for Village after Winter's Expansion. As it will conclude the Winters family saga. So there will be no more story to tell, thus no more DLC.

I understand how this may have confused you, but the only content updates you will be getting after Winter's Expansion are for Re:Verse.

It's not misinformation. Stop lying. Multiple outlets reported it including some of the biggest ones like pcgamer and ign. RE: Verse is included in the cost of re8 and always was.

Clickbait articles posted by gaming media are not confirmations from Capcom. A bunch of people speculating that the DLC might be free, is not confirmation from Capcom. Capcom never said anything. Media speculated that the DLC would be free. Just because someone says something on the internet does not mean it's true. I can't believe I have to explain this, but here we are.

Exactly. This was all taken from the report. None of that is meant for the consumer and more for internal use/investors. The media than tries to spin it off into something else. Like usual.

At no time did Capcom ever publicly say that Village was going to get free DLC. Only Re:Verse was free.
