FSR 2.0 could have been added.. But without prior Support of DLSS in a game... FSR 2.0 takes around 10 to 20 Days to be added in a game.. as claimed by AMD. At this point.. Capcom is just being lazy.
There really isnt a need to update it especially since its a single player game. However, yes, they are still lazy.
2.0 is at least tolerable, though still worse than DLSS 2.0.
Not sure what makes you think there's no reason to update it as it would be an increase in both performance and visual quality options.
As I already said. The reason is its a single player game and already runs quite well. Even an RX570 can run this game with FSR well over 60FPS at 1440p.
Again, if the expansion content just released and there is still no updates to FSR. It wont happen. Especially since its not on AMD's upcoming support list.
With that said. FSR wasn't really needed to begin with. RE Engine runs quite well. Especially once they remove DRM it should help improve it even more. Im sure that will happen before FSR gets updated.
Amazing.
I'm reminded why I tend to ignore your posts.
Im not arguing settings. I am stating game runs quite fine without FSR and FSR 1.0 already helps a great deal and for a SP game it really doesnt matter to boost frames even more. Not my problem you are triggered by facts.
Cant take the heat stay out of the kitchen. I am totally fine with you ignoring me completely!
Anyway.. It's fine that you don't need DLSS... But most of us surely do. Cause DLSS is not only about the performance but also about the quality.
Reasons:
--> Interlaced Rendering in RE Village is really messed up. I mean if you compare it with Interlaced Rendering of RE2.. RE3.. or even RE7... They look much better than RE8.
--> TAA as always is completely broken in RE8.. I mean just look at those hairs or those foliage... too much shimmering..! Now.. For people who play at 4K... Those effects just make the game completely unplayable for some. Just compare the screenshots in the OP.
--> If DLSS is added.. We can play at 4K along with DLDSR + DLSS... --> MUCH MUCH CRISPY and MUCH MUCH BETTER.
--> I know you will be hesitant to accept that DLSS can look better than Native..?! I was too... But when I played HZD without DLSS... that TAA really made the game look bad... But when DLSS update was released... DUDE.. It was so much better. So.. in games implementing older versions of TAA... DLSS must be present.
--> Capcom should have added FSR 2.0... but they didn't. They messed up here. Anyway.. One thing I really admire Capcom is for their policy of non-interference in Modding community unlike those sleazy Corpos at Taketo..
I mean look at those PC VR mods for RE2.. RE3.. RE7.. and even RE8.... Or the recent Resident Evil 1 Remake in Unity Engine. They are astonishing. And Talking about VR.. DLSS is a Must..!!
Also.. The mod is completely ready for flatscreens...and they are adding final touches to VR Version... so it will be released soon.
Sarcasm aside, it's nice to see someone who actually sees the point that animal planet chooses not to get.
And it appears Capcom/RE Engine in general is AMD partnered title, hence lack of any nvidia specific features.
I wonder whether Dragon's Dogma 2 will support DLSS in that case
