Can we play the new chapter "Shadows of Rose" in First Person View, as well?!
I already researched so many forums for a clear answer to this question but I haven't found one. 🤔

I know that you can play the main game plus the new chapter "Shadows of Rose" in Third Person with the new DLC installed but not a clear fact if I can play the new chapter "Shadows of Rose" in First Person, as well!

That's why I will wait with the purchase until I see that someone actually will play the expansion in First Person View.

Considering that the game was released to play in FPS...
I'm pretty sure the expansion will be the same by default.

It would be weird when we play "part 1" in FPS
but then we're forced to play "part 2" in 3rd person only because we installed a dlc.

I like both view modes but when i start a game in a certain view mode, i tend to play and finish it in that view mode.

I think the DLC will be third person, the trailer makes it very apparent. But there should be a first person option I imagine. I suggest waiting for release if it's really an issue for you! :)

The new Shadows of Rose part of the game is third person only, but the main story can be played either way after completing the game. The mercenaries mode is still first person and can't be changed. I am happy with the idea of the DLC, but would have liked to play mercs as Lady D and Heisenberg as third person. But still seems like it will be a good DLC as long as the Shadows part isn't really short, which is my biggest concern.

If this is really true, then unfortunatelly I'm out and won't buy the expansion. I'm not a fan of Third Person View. That's also a reason why I just played Resident Evil 7 and Village.

Man, i've seen you in better days on Steam forums...
But now you're just an idiot saying "my argument is valid" and all the while there was no argument in the first place.

Out of curiosity, what happened to you ?
Are the kangaroos crapping on your pillow again at night ?

Can you be more clear - why is my argument "stupid" like you say?

I've been reported & warned, so I'll back off.
I still think it's a dumb thread OP because you're asking a question that can't be answered.

Exactly. The OP's question makes no sense whatever. His assumption is...odd to say the least.

EDIT: I just read @Salty Gamer's post. I am dumbfounded that this could possibly be true. If so it is literally---literally---unprecedented in the history of video games.

Perspectives have occasionally changed within a game series, but never has an expansion or "DLC" made such a radical change to a game's mechanics.

It makes even less sense considering that the game itself is a First-Person game that can be played in either first- or third-person. Changing the "DLC" to third-person and then completely removing first-person altogether is a shoot-yourself-in-the-foot move.

Why the needless hostility towards the OP? It's a very valid question.
I am actually asking this myself as well, I wouldn't be surprised if they made the DLC 3rd-person only to change things up.

Yeah I agree. The question is valid. Maybe CAPCOM prefers the DLC yo be viewed in 3rd person for whatever reason. We have to see.

What's your excuse? Foot-in-mouth is a disease, seek treatment.

Yes folks, I said pointless. Speculative musing is futile when the DLC has the answer.
