Casual difficulty is recommended for normal experience but Hardcore difficulty is a more realistic experience for this world, you can play on Village of Shadows difficulty but its hardest difficulty.
You have to understand resources are limited in these games so it could be tough doing resource management for first time players, so play on Casual if you're a first time player.
Resources are pretty same across the difficulties, but enemies are easier to kill in casual. You will waste more resources in harder difficulties
PS After all, hardcore is tough for beginners, so Standard is the way to go.
If one already know the game hard is probably the way to go, but I woulnd't say for a new player as myself. It is rather frustrating.
Still playing this long on hard, I should probably just continue it, but I regret not just having started on normal.
even i'm surprised lol
when other says it's no too difficult, usually they also mean, RUNNING!!!
even for VoS
Casual is a very friendly and easy difficulty. You hardly take damage and everything dies fast, id only do a knife/speed run on casual.
