I've tried 23 times, I cannot beat the first Lycan swarm

Pretty much title. I've actually mastered how to perfectly complete the entire route around the village to grab all the available supplies without getting hit, the problem is there is just no way I have enough ammo and health to kill or even survive the Lycan swarm. I can kill maybe 10 tops before the swarm overwhelms me, and the big guy honestly isn't even the worst part. It's like no matter how many I kill more keep coming. Even after I survived (barely) on the roof of one house for about 10-15 minutes the swarm did not subside. I checked every square inch of the available area multiple times and I cannot find anything that unlocks a way out or that may be an escape route. I just cannot think of any possible course of action that I might be able to beat this part with and this is only like the 3rd area with enemies too. Does anyone know wtf I'm supposed to do?

Just have to survive there is nothing you can do. I don't know how long though. Just enter a house and barricade yourself until a cut-scene gets triggered

11 minutes, once big guy shows up, you only got a few minutes left, you can survive the entire thing without shooting bullets at all.

just remember there's 2 achievements that expect you to kill all 30 lycans and their leader!

Same problem. I'm about to say screw it and refund the game. Unending enemies, no bullets, you can't dodge anything. Extremely frustrating.

Just use the blocking mechanic and run around between the building, you don't really have to fight them all that much. It's a pretty rough part but it's very doable. Re4 had a similar start where it seems overwhelming but realistically it's pretty easy to handle.

Block what, they just grab you and bite you. There's no way to cancel it when they grab you. Most games like this would let you fight them off by repeatedly hitting a button/mouse click or something. You get like 2-3 hits and you're dead.

I'll come back to it and try it again tomorrow but i don't want to exceed 2 hours and not be able to refund if I can't get passed it.

I did it on Village of Shadows today. I literally killed every Lycan until there were no more. Then the hammer guy showed up and I had to wait like two minutes for the cutscene to start.

it did on hardcore by barricating a door and stalling the time. Everytime the lycaan was about to hit the barricate I gave him a headsot, managed to do this 2 times since there's 2 places you can barricate and then i run away exploding barrels.

Also hitting the floor sacks with the knife is good, you gain some seconds doing it.

I've never been able to master blocking mechanics in any game. Prime reason I never beat any of the "Souls-Like" titles.. Can't dodge anything, can't block anything. ♥♥♥♥ drives me nuts.

bro you can literally HOLD the block button. 0 reaction time needed. There's nothing to master there. You see someone walking toward you, you hold block button, they hit your arms, get stunned for a little while, you run away. You can even push them away if you press space bar when prompted

You know the house with the shotgun shells and the ladder in it? Yeah, that ladder is actually a safe zone. You can't get hit there. So heres the plan, go onto the ladder, hang out on it for a minute, then climb up and jump off the roof. Run around outside until a giant hammer monster shows up. Then run back and camp ladder for another few minutes. Then jump off the roof again and run around until a cutscene plays.

The whole event is on a timer, but the timer pauses until certain events happen, such as the giant monster attacking. When you hit a certain time you have to go out of your way to trigger these events before the timer starts again, and then you simply have to survive until theres another event to trigger or the attack ends and you're finally safe.

Also, don't try fighting them, please, save your ammo. You should only ever use your weapons to ignite explosive barrels or to stun a Lycan thats about to attack you so you can pass safely, killing enemies doesn't end the event, surviving does, so don't try and fight everyone.

I just refunded it. 72 minutes played and couldn't clear on hard. I never play games on normal and I am not able to start now. For a fps your character is just so slow and clunky and the guns have no weight. I wish the didn't just half ass 3make to gain free xtra funding for this game.

Idk why everyone is having such trouble. Did it my first time on hardcore defending the roof and running around then didn't it my first try again on the hardest unlocked difficulty, with my carry over weapons no infinite ammo or bought weapons. Actually tried to beat the big guy and wasted all my ammo trying to get the challenge.

Play a game you've never played before on hard because you're too much of an epic gamer with a giant ego to play games on the intended difficulty, die repeatedly on one part, ignore all advice that is given to you then blame the game and refund it.

Sounds like you're just salty and trash at games.
