is $70 worth it for a single player 8 hour game?
i can understand if it had multiplayer but why do single player games this short cost so much money? you can pay like $5 for l4d2 and get infinitely more replay-ability than this and way more custom mod support, it just doesnt make any scents

And Just like L4D2 you can replay the games multiple times, to finish all those challenges.
im scared of getting scammed on key sites and those dont support the developer

I feel like labelling it as an 8 hour game is disingenuous with how much replayability there is (Not to mention the bonus mode)
I meam L4D at release cost full price and didnt come with workshop right away.... so 60 pretty much got you the samr amount of content only difference was it was multiplayer.

Dont really understand the logic.

you are aware that you can play a game more than once right?
Power May 9, 2021 @ 3:54am
Lol check my time played, 8 hours isn't even close. Sure 8 hours if you skip every cut scene maybe. I'm doing another run probably tomorrow too, need to finish my 100%.

yeah but theres not really an incentive to play a single player game over and over when you already know what to do, besides collecting the hidden stuff for achievements... its like playing the re2/3 remakes, 7 over after youve collected all the stuff, its jusut completely pointless then

They're very different games, Left 4 dead 2 is ancient, such an old game so it's bound to be cheap by this point. It's such an old game that when it came out Arsenal were a good team lol.

New AAA single player games cost a lot of money to develop, RE7 had to sell 3 million copies just to make it's development budget back. Making games is expensive, even some basic looking mobile games can cost millions to develop. End of the day if you can't afford it that's life, simple as that, wait for a sale. Here's the thing kid, unless you're super rich you're not supposed to be able to afford every luxury in life, and yes games are a luxury

Also you're comparing an apple with a banana, or The Godfather to the Emoji Movie. Left 4 dead 2 is basically a co-op game so it's designed to keep an active player base, if player numbers dropped then it's basically a worthless game at that point, RE games are mainly single player story driven games, so it has a clearly defined start and an end.

*looks at the 14.5 hours spent to complete the game without all the secrets* 8 hours....clearly Im doing something wrong..

If you plan to replay it sure, if not then wait for sales.

i play video games for fun (not saying you dont btw) and as long as its fun there is always an incentive to play

sure, i get what youre saying but i dont understand the general mentality behind it

like, think about your favorite movie - technically you seen everything there is to see after watching it once ...

If you buy games based on how long does it take to beat them, then you are stupid.

I'd rather buy a great/memorable game that's 6 hours long for 60$ than a 50 hour game where you grind for the whole game (Assassin's Creed, HZD, Far Cry, Days Gone, etc.).

Plus all RE games are well known for how short they are but they have great replay value.
RE8 is one of the longest games in the series and it's atleast 10 hours long on first playthrough.

look man you can get 25% off on cdkeys thats where i got it, also i just finished the game and looking into the possibilities i can tell you this has an equal amount of ng+ playthroughs as something like dark souls in it, like they did a good job making it replayable

What? How is this an 8 hour game? You guys are skipping content if you are finishing in 8 hours, or you're attempting a speed run.
