Does RE8 take place in Romania?

I just started the game and Mia was making Ciorbă de legume and on the table I think was Sarmale (Romanian stuffed cabbage), well it looked like it to me. Both of those dishes are traditional dishes from that country. Also the game has a vampire lady and takes place in a Eastern European country, so I am guessing that it does? Does the game have other references to Romania?

Yes, devs said the game take place in Romania a few months ago, they also said that going there in winter helped giving the game the look it has now (i mean the snow)
