RTX has a memory leak! Turn it off for now
RTX effects as of today 07/05/21 have a massive memory leak on this game, framerate will tank as soon as the leak happens, had to watch cutscenes at 19fps sometimes...
This happened aswell with Cyberpunk and got patched, how come Capcom didn't test this? This is unbearable...
By running some more testing, it seems to leak around 18GB of pagefile, from there it goes up to 32000mb , tested on RTX 2060 6GB (impossible to play) and RTX 3060 12GB (19fps after 1 hour of gaming).
FIX THIS ASAP.

I have an RTX 2060, and it is really impossible to play with Ray Tracing enabled.

That's more to do that despite being technically capable of it, the 2060 is far from a good raytracing card

I'll watch out for it, thanks. I haven't noticed any issues so far. Slight drop in performance going into the main hall to the save room.

10700k, 3070.

Yes, but this not about the card, there's a leak, and if you have less vram then the leak will impact you very fast...
Also, quick update, the game seems to have already a memory leak also without rtx enabled, maybe the issue is DX12, i'll look for more details.

Game runs smooth for lets say 20- 30 min for me, after that the fps start to drop till it's a slideshow. I have to restart the game and everything is normal again for 20 minutes. This is with RT on... I will disable it now and check again.

My GPU ram is also set to 2gb below the max in the graphical settings. 6/8gb

RTX 3070
Ryzen 5 5600x
32gb RAM

I'm done with this game till Capcom fixes this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cancer issue.

I can confirm this, running on a 10900k + RTX 3070 and 15 or so minutes into the game it becomes a slide show with ray tracing turned on.

Edit: It also happens with RT turned off - albeit after about an hour

I have a 3090, and haven't noticed anything (YET) but I have only just started playing. I'll report back if the game ♥♥♥♥♥ itself. This is at 5120x1440, Max RT and scaling resolution at 1.3 so pretty crazy settings.

3090 as well and haven't noticed anything.
Huh? Fine on my pc
StarBound May 7, 2021 @ 12:54pm
3080 here. Playing 30min-1 hour sessions and fps is above 90fps most of the time. The only drop I had was against the ladies when they turn into the insect swarm.
Kyerzak May 7, 2021 @ 12:56pm
2080 TI and freezes right at the start of the game
PyroPanda May 7, 2021 @ 12:57pm
I have RT enabled on my 2080 and so far i have stayed around 50-60+ FPS. Granted I'm maybe 2 hours into the game or less.

I have an RTX 3090, i9 10900KF and 64GB RAM. I've played for about 3 hours straight on max settings, 3440x1440 resolution and ray tracing enabled. No issues on my end, apart from a little stuttering at the fly swarm scenes like =GSG=StarBound mentioned.

yeah I got a massive drop in FPS during the part where you're wandering around in the snow and you enter the house, then go into the basement. FPS just tanks in half for no reason
