I followed it, but I am going getting around 20 fps so the game is unplayable on minimum settings. I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 with the latest drivers. Am I screwed is hoping to play through windows 7?
So I don't see how that is somehow a big pro win7 argument when in reverse you have to do extra stuff to make these new games work.
no problem , i run it on windows 3.1 easily.
I've also tried upgrading to Windows 10 on my laptop & the performance dropped really bad mostly due to background task of Windows scanning & installing updates 24/7. While you could disable it, a friend of mine had the issue of WIndows forcing updates.
Next, there has been a few instance of Windows updates BSOD a PC & forcing a complete WIndows install & that's something I've heard from 2 different friends. Windows 10 forcing a ♥♥♥♥ ton of features I'll rather not have but can't remove without effort cause it's part of the core programs.
Point is, I'll rather deal with this on a new PC then try to bring all my ♥♥♥♥ over & hoping it would all work.
There is a mod for GTA 4 / EFLC that disables Windows Live and auto-save that works. On Steam they completely removed it and changed to Rockstar Games launcher.
Same with FlatOut you can download xlive and it works like charm. Also seriously, who the hell still plays FlatOut MP? It's an X360 generation game, we have now Xbox Series X/PS5 generation. If you really want to play a X360 generation game, buy X360 then, you can get X360 used for like $50 that works.
I have windows 10 pro x64 also. I got it for free when i bought my brand new nice and shiny Asus crosshair VIII hero x570 motherboard for 100 bucks.
That's obviously not from capcom itself. If you got it from other places, they made a mistake and as such, isn't capcom's fault.
The second link(dated Sep 20) that you gave in the other reply clearly indicated it was THEIR OWN GUESS(ie estimation) and NOT FROM CAPCOM:
There are only a few links that claimed win 7 as a requirement and all of them obscure ones. None of the major publications indicated win 7 as a requirement. Heck, none of them actually published anything about requirements until they were officially known because they relied on actual sources rather than hearsay or guesses. One would think that major gaming news sites(ie eurogamer, ign, rps, gamespot, polygon, etc) would have published the same information if they were officially released by Capcom at that time yet none of them did,
I could just as well point out that most other sites indicated win 10 as well such as:
https://sea.pcmag.com/microsoft-xbox-360/43570/resident-evil-village-for-pc
https://gadgets.ndtv.com/games/features/resident-evil-village-release-date-review-pc-system-requirements-gameplay-vampire-lady-story-pre-order-2427742
Even third party retail sites like GMG indicate win 10 as well.
The steam store page has always stated win 10 since the requirements were made known.
Your console statement makes little sense but using your logic, your PC is like an Android & your console is like a iPhone. One can be customised while the other one is restrictive. They all have their reasons such as security or flexibility.
Don't like Windows 10? Switch to a Linux distro.
T
So could this work on other games that use DirectX12? I'm also on Windows 7 and would like to play this game and others on my pc.
There will be no official Windows 7 support.
