That is what I implied above, apparently sexual reproduction works in that case.
If Mia had refused Ethan for three years, he might have gone a bit suspicious if you ask me. We don't know what the full implication of being mold is (especially in Ethan's case) and I wouldn't judge her on that, love is blind and all that ^^
According to what we know, Mia is fully cured. Rose's powers coming from a cured mother (cured is not never being infected, there might differences between someone cured and someone that simply never got infected) and an infected father is enough for me.
Then again, seeing "RE sized holes" in that story isn't a real surprise ;)
Except it wasn't a nuclear explosion.
During some of the VO you hear that "charges have been set" so its more likely to be high yield explosives rather than a nuclear weapon.
Plus even Chris wouldn't have survived, or mia, or rose for that matter due to radiation poisoning imo.
I would say the point of the villagers was to establish that Miranda was done with them and had no need for their existence any longer. Plus, it meant Ethan wouldn't be interacting with any of the other villagers for the remainder of the game.
What Chris didn't tell Ethan was the plan regarding Rose/Miranda. Only Mia knew that Ethan was special, aka not human. After all, the start of Chris' section includes a member of Wolf Pack going "I've confirmed the death of Ethan Winters." None of them had any idea he was gonna get back up and finish his business with Miranda.
I've posted in another thread that I believe Miranda wasn't posed as Mia for very long. Most likely only for 1 month, 3 tops. One of the hints is Ethan saying during the prologue "You've gone full native, huh?" That implies that some of "Mia's" habits were new, at least the ones Miranda let slip through. Additionally, Mia is found in modern clothing. Dirty, but not ragged or tattered; which is bound to happen after more than a month of wearing such clothing without a change. Only Heisenberg would have any potential change of clothing for her, but it's doubtful Heisenberg had any idea that Mia was still alive. After all, if he did know, he'd use that as leverage in negotiating with Ethan. And let's not forget, Chris' team shot her multiple times including 5 to the head without even trying to question Mia. They knew it was Miranda well before Ethan had any idea, and they knew it was likely she'd do what she did the moment she got wind of Rose. That ties back into "You should have told Ethan the plan." However, only Mia knew about Ethan's true nature, which is why she responded when she did as Chris freed her from her cell in Miranda's research lab and he told her "Ethan is dead."
He put his jacket on the baby after he gave her to Chris, so he wouldn't have it on now
Hehehe.
I agree that Chris not telling Ethan what was up right off the bat was dumb but I can see why they did it, needed that hook to drag people in. Chris is evil? No it can't be!
So it does not matter if he is in the middle of a large explosion, he can always be recreated.
