Resident Evil/Biohazard was never about zombies.

Stop whining "i want zombies" the game franchise was always about bioweapons (and parasites in RE4).

"I want horror survival back" they made RE7 and ppl cried about being in 1st person, nonetheless the game was a huge sucsess and a great game overall

RE4 is a action oriented game and it's one of the best RE games, and one of the best games of all times

Just let them do the game, don't pre order, wait for release, see some reviews or gameplay videos and then decide if it's worth it for YOU

Don't judge the game because is not how YOU want it to be, if they made RE4 like they did the first 3 games, it wouldn't be an inovative game, it couldve been a good game sure but not the RE4 we know now

In my humble opinion Resident Evil was always a franchise that could blend horror survival with action very well using all kinds of freak monsters and abominations that could be made messing with dna, virus and all that kind of mad scientists stuff that ALWAYS go wrong

"We trying to make a cure for cancer, but instead we made a virus that could wipe the entire human race, oopsie"

"We making a bioweapon that could eradicate a entire nation and we planning on selling that sh1t for billions of money $$$$$ uh oh it looks like things went downhill and some bioweapons escaped of our control, it happens right"

All that Umbrella Corp moneyhungryness versus the protagonists just wanting to survive at first (and then going full warmode in RE6 wtf that game was weird but fun lol)

I don't really like the 1st person aspect of it, it puts ME (The Player) in a more imersive point of view sure but the thing about RE is the iconic characters, and i don't really care much about Ethan because i can't see him

BUT that's just one detail that doesnt ruin the quality of the game itself and i'm really lookig forward for RE8

As a Resident Evil fan, i apreciate if you took the time to read me whining about people whining lol

Amazing that this series has been around for 25 years now and all of a sudden we've got "fans" complaining about the direction, who obviously weren't even paying attention when they played the first one. The clue is in the name: Biohazard. It's not Racoon City of the Dead or something. They can do pretty much anything they want as long as there is some sort of virus/parasite/thing behind it all.

I will miss the zombies, old characters and villains but will go in to this with an open mind. Besides for my zombie needs this year to make up for them being gone here, Dying Light 2 and Back 4 Blood will fill in that void but this game could be good with new viral strains.
