newbie questions
I like the game a lot but what I don't like at all, is the mechanics, that behind me often passages close and I cannot go back.
So I wonder every time: can I really go there yet ? will I be able to get back ?
- I am now in the castle but have multiple things not done in the village yet. I am pretty sure I can return there later, BUT when is there one or many points of no return when I really cannot go back ? like - obviously - I can not go back to the starting sequence with Mia to get one lost achivement there. can you tell me those points of no return in the game ?
- I find interesting stuff like crystal heads or even a crystal torso of one of the daughters of the mother vampire. is it safe to sell all to the Duke ? OR can I use it somewhere in the village or elsewhere to get somewhere where I could not go without it ?
- third newbie question: in such a sequence when I was attacked by the Lycans: does it even matter if I kill any (do they get less ??) OR is it just running and surviving ? if so, is it then that a certain time like 5 minutes must be survived or how is the survival determined ?

1. you will return to the village, or hub area multiple times over the course of the game, so don't worry too much about that. This doesn't apply to the castle though once you defeat the boss enemy so make sure you get everything you're looking for out of the place first. Note that this goes for the other Lords' areas too.

2. The crystal items are purely there to be sold, everything under the treasure tab can be safely sold. Now some of this treasure you find in some instances can be combined with other items to increase their value, you'll find this out by examining the treasure in your inventory. It won't impact/lock you out of anything during the game as items of that nature can not be sold and also appear in a different tab.

3 as chris said, the lycan ambush segment is pretty much just a survive until the invisible timer runs down kinda thing. You don't even need to fire any shots if you don't want to.

Regarding the third question, the ultimate goal is to survive for X minutes (I think 5), but I believe enemies killed does play some role in the progression of that event.

- This game is very linear even though it has a sandbox type world with the village, definitely not open world where you can go back to areas other than the village, so for example if you finished the castle chapter and came back to the village you cannot go back in there again, you would have to restart a save if you wanna get an achievement

- You can sell all crystal torsos, crystal bodies or heads to the Duke, there is no use keeping them with you, there are a few other treasures that you have to first combine and then sell to the duke

- Goal is definitely to survive the lycan attack for some X amount of time, I do think that killing enemies also factors in but not confirmed

when I am hunted by the Lady on several occasions, are these random encounters which I can outrun ?

to summarize what should be done before leaving the castle for good:

- destroy all the small wooden horse figurines (I think I had 3)
- solve the riddle with the small castle ball (next to the Duke)
- get all rooms from red to blue
- kill all 3 daughters (not sure if you can beat the castle without it anyways)
- further Steam achievements like destroying all breakable windows (I did not manage that one, although I smashed like 10-12 windows)

anything else?
