- You can sell all crystal torsos, crystal bodies or heads to the Duke, there is no use keeping them with you, there are a few other treasures that you have to first combine and then sell to the duke
- Goal is definitely to survive the lycan attack for some X amount of time, I do think that killing enemies also factors in but not confirmed
2. The crystal items are purely there to be sold, everything under the treasure tab can be safely sold. Now some of this treasure you find in some instances can be combined with other items to increase their value, you'll find this out by examining the treasure in your inventory. It won't impact/lock you out of anything during the game as items of that nature can not be sold and also appear in a different tab.
3 as chris said, the lycan ambush segment is pretty much just a survive until the invisible timer runs down kinda thing. You don't even need to fire any shots if you don't want to.
to summarize what should be done before leaving the castle for good:
- destroy all the small wooden horse figurines (I think I had 3)
- solve the riddle with the small castle ball (next to the Duke)
- get all rooms from red to blue
- kill all 3 daughters (not sure if you can beat the castle without it anyways)
- further Steam achievements like destroying all breakable windows (I did not manage that one, although I smashed like 10-12 windows)
anything else?
