Input Lag
The higher the refresh rate, the lower the input lag.
So, a 120Hz display will have essentially half the input lag in comparison to a 60Hz display since the picture gets updated more frequently and you can react to it sooner.

more info on input lag.
Does input lag really matter?
In gaming, input lag has a big role in the overall experience. So, if your monitor, projector, or any other display device is not able to show the desired content in a very short time frame, you can have some lags. This can give you bad results if you are about to play some FPS games on your console or PC.
Input lag
When considering the responsiveness of a monitor you must consider what the user feels when trying to interact with the monitor as well as what they see with their eyes.
and if you are wining at 30fps then you are more used to the input lag than some one runing at 60fps. you could still win but are at a disadvantage or handicap.
from andandtech.
In gaming, input lag is defined as the delay between the when a user does something with an input device and when that action is reflected on the monitor.
however you running at lower fps frees up resources for denuvo to run its excessive checks and thus might reduce the perception of stutter.
