Stuttering when killing ir attacked by enemies
Sometimes when I kill or get attacked by an enemy get stutter. Strangely this only happens sometimes. Wobseeing if anyone has the same issue.

I think the reason why they released the game in this state is the aggressive Denuvo implementation they went with (this being Capcom triple A title of the year). Denuvo most likely can't change their tool to avoid the weird stutter in this particular game so the solution is complicated.

At some point they will put the game on sale removing Denuvo or with a less aggressive implementation that will fix PC performance issues.

The game shows realtime cutscenes where the problematic graphics/ effects run smoothly because the issue only arises when the player is hit by an enemy/ kills enemies, this is when Denuvo checks the memory with every hitbox collision

Certain attacks in the game have tons of consecutive hits for the player (a simple tasks for modern CPU as console versions show) and Denuvo insists on scanning the memory after each hit and the game stalls regardless of your hardware configuration.

This is a very common issue faced by pretty much everyone who has this game as Failcom has abandoned the game on PC. I would highly recommend refunding the game considering you have only 1 hour played as the stuttering gets worse later on. If you have an NVIDIA card, expect drops right down into the twenties in certain scenes.

Note this is on a 3080 and a 9900k.

Seems a bit extreme for a refund if you ask me, since Capcom is undoubtedly working on a patch. It takes time for the publishing side to sign off on that though; patches don't happen overnight.

It is a common problem that everybody has though. Nothing really anybody can do except wait for a patch.

weird that you're having issues. this game has an 96% positive rating on steam so its possibly on your end? Intel isn't that great anymore either, fyi. AMD stomped them when it comes to IPC with zen 3 but I highly doubt thats the case. I found a few tricks to reduce latency overall. mesg me if you want the scoop. requires quite a few settings to be changed in OS / GPU properties https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVPvQ-Ub05E&ab_channel=JohnDoe

It's a common issue. I have a Ryzen 9 3900X, 64GB 3733MHz RAM, and an RTX 3080 and I'm getting the same set of issues. Still waiting for Capcom to fix this before I do my next succeeding playthroughs.

this helped me personally with my setup.

windows power plan - high performance

nvidia/amd control center

power profile - max
limit pre rendered frames to: 1
texture filtering - Negative LOD Bias - Clamp
texture filtering - high performance

in windows disable HPET (high precision events timer) easiest way is disabling it through device manager under system devices, disable it and restart.

enable resizeable bar. you will need a capable GPU and Motherboard. I had to update both my Bios and GPU Vbios to get it enabled. you can check the status in nvidia control panel > help > system information. should say yes if enabled.

Hey dude, if a game has 96% positive rating, is it weird that someone + thousands of others experience the same problem?! Just curious ^_^

no, you're right. came off sounding like a D-nozzle. I too had issues with the micro stuttering or random frame drops but the solution I posted above fixed it for me anyway.

Well being a developer since Intel 80486 DX2, I never recommend disabling Windows HPET!
Of course on Intel platforms, but since AMD is a different world I'm not aware of, it might help there!
BTW, the whole method, if works, is a temporary workaround and not a permanent fix, I'm sure we'll get the final patch eventually!

yes, they will definitely need to release a patch for this game. too many people complaining about the same issues.

Thank you guys so much! Thanks for clearing the air. I really thought my PC was bust but thanks for you guys help. Im very grateful. Unfortunately, I have played more than 2 hours and will most likely be unable to refund the game. Luckily I wasnt considering a refund. As Emerald Lance said it would be a bit extreme to refund. I hope they fix the stutter with a patch otherwise the game is fantastically optimized and is a really good game.

Don't worry about the patch, we'll get it, if the rumors about Denuvo causing the issue is right:
Like the previous titles, at one point when sales peak is passed (2~3+ months) they will remove it and the game will get fixed by itself (they still need a patch for other issues/updates)
Otherwise we will also get the patch, just a matter of time cause it's much more complex on PCs than consoles, it's highly unlikely that Capcom will leave such AAA title in this state to ruin their reputation!
Give praise too much, CAPCOM has ignored the BUG, there will be no patch

Except your own video shows you dip to 28 FPS at the very start. You then turned comments off when I pointed this out.
so long, no one from CAPCOM has come out to explain related issues once,Japanese game maker's style, even if they have a branch in Europe and america not change their attitude PC gamers unfair attitude.

Hopefully a patch will come. Denuvo could be the culprit.
