Copy the dinput8.dll from the re8.zip to your game folder and the stutters will be completely gone.

The only important one that people are claiming is missing is the parry/push back but honestly you end up barely even using it. Besides, the massive performance increase is well worth it.

Digital Foundry didn't cover the DLL mod. They covered the official release and the crack, not this. So what are you basing your info on? I can confirm it works perfectly and retains the animations.
