My game freezes and makes my computer crash

Hi folks,

I got the game today, so I've just started it, and it keeps crashing without no reason. However, I looked for solutions on the internet, so :

- I updated my Nvidia drivers
- Ran Steam as administrator
- Made sure my computer was strong enough to run the game
- Disabled the steam and discord overlays
- Turned off HDR (RE8 + Windows)

I'll give you my configuration, but I'm not sure it's because of that I keep freezing :

- i5-9600K
- 16GB Ram
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060


I'll try to uninstall and install it again, so I'll let you know.

Does it crash on startup? How long does it take to crash?

Use DDU. You can find guides on Youtube on how to remove the drivers completely, and re-install the latest drivers fresh.

Yeah, where does it crash, cuz this game is a crash show, specially when killing enemies.

It crashes really at the beginning of the campaign. I just started a new game (never played it before),

Okay I'll try it. I got answered by Capcom, they gave me a few things to check. I'll try what you said too

I have the exact same issue. The game will just freeze up and force me to reboot my pc. It's been this way since launch and happens anywhere within 1-30 min. of playing. I have tried to troubleshoot everything I could think of and read but nothing has worked.

My specs:
GPU - Geforce RTX 3090 FE
CPU - Intel i7 9700k 3.6Ghz (liquid cooled)
RAM - 16GB 3200mhz
OS - Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Game is installed on an SSD

I just ran the game as administrator, plus I think that the steam overlay may be not that good for games in general, yesterday I played MFS and it also crashed because I was in the steam voice channel with a friend
