RE Village. How to change difficulty level on 2nd Play through?
Awesome game. I finished the first play through on Standard difficulty, which seemed about right. Not too hard, not too easy.

But I guess I kinda got uppity on my second play through, and selected "Hardcore" as the difficulty level on my second play through. In a nutshell, it is too hardcore for me. They're not kidding around when they describe it as "everything we can throw at you". Even with iced out weapons, I can't make any progress.

My biggest problem is that, even though I have iced out weapons, I don't have enough ammo to make it to the Duke to buy more ammo.

Is there a way to change my difficulty level from a saved game? The game used to offer me that choice all the time on my first play through, but not anymore.

How do I change my difficulty level back to standard on a second play through?

FYI, I figured it out. I scrolled down my saved game list and found a save from the moment I finished the first play through. I'll have to start the 2nd play through all over again, but that's not a problem....

I would advise against the "Hardcore" difficulty level...Go ahead and test it out if you want. Twice or triple the amount of monsters, all faster, and extremely aggressive. Too hard for my candy ass.

I did exactly what you did. But I also had the unlimited ammo for the first shotgun since I wanted at least one bad gun with no ammo problems for hardcore.

You should have enough points for some low tier weapon unlimited ammo upgrade. If you don't have problems with stuff like that tho.
