Survival mode build mode not working?

Got my first town finally started up, the small roughly 5k village in the far west. Got my town hall built but now i cant enter build mode to build anything else. ???

You have to go upstairs and then interact with a blueprint looking thing in your room. You can go through adventure mode and cover at least the beginning parts of that tutorial which will show you how to do some of this.

I did find that to work, just is unfortunate i can no longer enter build mode anywhere in my village now.

If your general store is not built in your village, you can press (B) to open the Build Mode. If your General Store is built, you will have to go up to your room and interact with your drawing table to manage your village.

Darn, So no (B) building anymore once you build your Store. Fair i suppose, though a bit restricting now if you build your store further from the initial entrance on larger plots.

I cannot place anything I craft on the ground and I can’t do it in build mode either. Am I missing something?
