Is there a new listing in your library for a game pass? Maybe try sending him that code.
I hope this is a problem that will be fixed soon because we tried all the possible combination: me with the original game and the friend pass and he with the demo version and the friend pass version.
Next, both of you should launch a friend pass copy of the game, and after the invitation, a message should appear about activating a friend pass for a guest.
thats deceptive!!! Why would they execute it in this type of way ughhhhh!
Hey there John Kramer - I am sorry to say that the Friend Pass for Little Hope expired quite some time ago now, and is no longer usable to play the game with a friend. If wishing to play Shared Story together, you'll each need to own your own copies of the game.
I apologise for any disappointment that this causes.

So if I want to play the game with a friend online , as long as we both have the game it should work just like local coop. I have played locally with friends (on the couch sharing the controller ) and it a bit of a riot seeing them jump in front of your very eyes.
Shared Story works differently to Movie Night - instead of playing in turns, you play simultaneously as different characters. You can choose to either communicate with each other about what you're each doing, or keep quiet and let the other person experience the game entirely without your advice or direct input!
Do be aware that your respective actions do affect both each other and the direction of the story itself...!
I have answered this query over in this thread. Please do not continue to repost the same question in multiple other threads as I will consider this spam and moderate as necessary. Thank you.
