What is Open Country

An outdoor adventure game with hunting, fishing, hiking and survival elements.

When does the game launch?

June 10th, 2021

Where can I play?

PC: Steam and Epic.

Console: Xbox One and PS4

What kind of animals are there?

You can hunt large game such as Elk and Deer, small game such as rabbits and waterfowl. There are various types of freshwater fish that can be caught. Bears and Coyotes also roam the maps. There are just some of the animals you can find in the game.

Does the game have a dog?

Yes! You will meet your dog as you progress through the game. The more you take care of him, the higher his loyalty. As you progress, he will show up more and do more things.

How many maps will there be?

Three at launch. Each map is unique and features a different season; Summer, Autumn and Winter.

Is there Co-Op?
Yes! 2-4 Person online or LAN co-op. You can play cooperatively or competitively to hunt big game.

Is there 1st Person View?

No. The game only supports 3rd Person View.

Can I make a female character?

Yes!

Is there crossplay between platforms?

There will be crossplay with Epic and Steam. You must have an account on both platforms, but only need to own the game on the platform you are using. There is no crossplay with consoles.

Can I use a controller on PC?

Yes!

Can I build?

You can create campsites pretty much anywhere on the maps, These can be upgraded to include storage, planters for food, water collection and more.

Are there micro-transactions?

No. When you buy the game, you get the complete game. We may have paid DLC or expansions in the future, but micro-transactions (buying power-ups, lives, etc.) are not part of the game.

Will there be Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 version of the game?

Not at this time. We expect the game to be playable with backwards compatibility on both platforms.

What languages are supported?
Voice overs are in English.
Text and UI are EN, FR, IT, GR, SP, Simplified & Traditional CH, RU, KR, JP, PR

I have 2 problems 1 I cant put the scope on my lever actoin and I cant buy more ammo it only shows handgun ammo please help!

when will there be more resolution options? i play on a T.V and need 3840x2160
the current options look terrible can hardly read the words on the screen, I'd really like to play this game but can't until this is an option

i have some issues, after i find the planecrash when trying to save/ fasttravel, the game crashes, tryed this about 10 times now. it seems like i cant get further in the game. is this a known issue? is it anything i do different to avoid this?

U can force the resolution

Go to game app data folder located at C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\OutdoorAdventures\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor find the game settings config and open it up using notepad c++

change the following lines to resolution u want then save config and right click on it go to properties and set it to read only...game wont overwrite it then on startup make sure u have all your game settings properly setup before doing this....

ResolutionSizeY=1080
DesiredScreenWidth=1920
DesiredScreenHeight=1080


So for your resolution u want it be like below---
ResolutionSizeX=3840
ResolutionSizeY=2160
DesiredScreenWidth=3840
DesiredScreenHeight=2160
