I believe you. But, please answer the following questions:
Are you elderly?
Do you have a medical condition that effects your hand-eye coordination or reaction time?
Are you playing on a computer that can barely run the game, or have a low-sensitivity mouse?
If you have answered "no" to all of those, please stop making assumptions about what "most people" are like. Besides, even if the number of players struggling with timers is only 10%, that's still thousands of people, taking into account how popular the game is.
Exactly! Also, we paid for the game as well, so we are expecting (not unreasonably) to have an entertaining and fun experience, not an exercise in frustration.
To me the whole assembly missions are fun the way they are.
No one is asking to do away with them, maybe just make the timer optional or have a setting for boomers with arthritis. Lol. No one is wanting to take away your fun. Well, at least I'm not, but I'd like to enjoy the game as well. Would you deprive me of that? Is a compromise doable? If the devs are okay with it? I can't understand why some people think that when those who have extra needs critique a game that they are being unreasonable.
But no, of course having option is not a bad thing.
That whole assembly mode is pretty pointless anyway so might as well just get rid off the timer altogether.
I really don't care if someone finds them fun, this is not a compromising issue ♥♥♥♥♥. Get over it, go play Call of Duty if you want fast reflex ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It shouldn't be in this type of game. If you can't enjoy the game without a timer, find another game.
Fix camera, take out the timer. They'd still be boring and awful as compared to the renovation from 1, but at least they'd be doable then.
It almost seems like this game has been made by completely different people. Like HF2 is a first draft of a new game, not a sequel. Aren´t sequels supposed to be upgrades of a sort?
I love most of this game but some things just make me smh. Like, why no step ladder? I have to stack pallets to get up high inside houses (when I can't climb on furniture). Little things like that. Just weird.
I agree that the timers should be gone or doubled.
Other bugs, sometimes when you are screwing, the ok/good/perfect indicator just disappeared. It is already frustrating and all then there goes UI disappaearing.
Well I didn't buy this game to be annoyed and stressed, I just wanna play this game at my own pace.
You need to take a chill pill my guy. Make a request and that's it. No need to attack other people here for no reason.
You apparently want the devs to care about your specific issue but don't care about anyone else yourself? This whole comment reeks of entitlement and with that kind of behavior you will never get them to listen to you.
Hey guys, I just uploaded a video on my YT channel on a few tips and tricks on helping to shave off 10, 20, or maybe even a minute from your assembly missions.
I will link it here below. The tricks I found seem to drastically increase the animations especially the ones where you screw stuff in. It made such a difference to me that on my second attempt after doing these 'tricks' I was able to beat the desk assembly mission with 3 stars going from over 9 minutes to under 7:50.
However, I am unsure if this will work for everyone, but I urge all of you to at least give it a try and please report back or leave me a comment on my channel letting me know if it does in fact make a difference or help you at all.
Best of luck!

Except my problem is all the millions of pieces, travel time, and camera wrestling. even then the time limit is strict. Lag doesn't really affect me.
1. Camera jerking and/or stopping short of where I am telling it to move to.
2. In certain phases of the TV Cabinet and Desk the camera suddenly inverts itself.
3. in some there are so many steps that it feels like the time limit is well below the average time it is going to take someone to complete assembly.
Overall.... I am absolutely not a fan of assembly mode. It really does not feel like part of the game for me. Granted, i am definitely glad it is gone from Story Mode, as it always felt tedious in HF1, but as its own mode it feels like there is no point in doing it despite the tiny discounts you receive on furniture. Unpolished? Lacking in something? I cannot quite figure out why, but that is how it feels to me.
