When you run down the hill at the start, bank left a bit and start moving through at the middle, remember to climb over rocks and mounds when a BT is blocking the way, and slowly hook left until you see the farm. Going straight left is a relatively safe route, but will take longer, so once you see the wind farm, you have to decide if you want to sprint and escape their range by getting to the farm, or continuing to go slowly, depends on your stamina and weight.
If you're having an especially hard time, remember you can hold you breath to make it much easier, or take hematic grenades to eliminate the threat. People have also said wearing sandelweed helps them remain even more quiet.

If you're trying before you unlock hemo grenades, don't bother.

Come back later to 5* the wind farm.

You never tried to do it without hematic grenades?

No, I have. It's just not worth the time.

Better to wait until you've unlocked hemo grenades so you can get it done faster. The only rank that actually matters is the first delivery to unlock generators, so no real reason to rush getting it done unlike, say, cosplayer or collector.

so do the hematic grenades destroy BT's completely or just stuns them? 1 hit kill?
Seamus Aug 14, 2021 @ 3:14pm
They destroy them, but it depends on difficulty how many it takes. If you're on normal, it only takes one.

You can wait until you got your first vehicie, and you can try to rush through them or kill them with hematic grenades or other late game weapons. I also have not done Wind Farm because i moved on better locations

Wait till you can create Ziplines and just zip around.
I made lines between Port Knot, Musician, Wind Farm, and Distribution Centre West.
All S deliveries under 5 min :D

Building a zipline network on the east coast takes like 20 minutes. The map is tiny.

Planning took longer.
I had to sell every buildinging which wasn't granting any likes in order to have enough "energy". Then ensure everything connects without my guy clipping anything. Hardest one was the 300m connection to the windfarm.
It's a beautiful downhill connection which goes through trees.
I'd say it took me solid 2 hours.
Was a blast from start to finish this.

You can traverse the mountainous terrain on the North side easily if you have 2-3 ladders with you, maybe a climbing rope. You will detect BTs, but none ever get close enough if you climb and hug the mountain side, and I do mean REALLY hug that side. No PCCs needed at all. Was able to do the URGENT missions like this as well.
Funkhauser Aug 14, 2021 @ 9:22pm
Just take it slow and stop a lot. When you stop and wait a few seconds the BTs turn visible so you can plan a route

Ya , i use same method with few climbing rope, save your times to avoid those BTs. remember bring 1~2 container repair spray to repair your cargo.
Is better you avoid the BTs if haven't unlock better weapon to deal with them. if afraid your cargo keep on decay due to heavy rain, temporary built a postbox to store your cargo.
