Can't eat the cryptobiotes

I can select it in the tools wheel, but the eat action ("A" button on controller) is grayed out.

It has been a while, but dumb question. How is your health? If I remember right cryobites in your inventory are a buff to regaining blood. So if you are perfectly healthy it might not let you use them.

The other option is "Are you carrying an object in the hand you normally eat biotes/drink canteen with?"

Again I have not played in months so I could be wrong about not being able to use them at certain times.

Your first suggestion...if one has all that is needed, eating for more won't be possible. That's got to be it.

You would also not be able to eat any if *something* is blocking your face from letting you eat.
