FPS Drop
I'm experiencing FPS drops in chapter 3 where it fluctuates between 50-30 FPS. I have a laptop with Ryzen 7 3750H with a GTX 1660 TI and I made sure this game is using the 1660, so I don't think I should be having these issues. Even turning all the options down to low don't really help so I'm not sure what's going on.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I get frame drops every time the controller rumbles, thats it.

I had a pretty stable 60 before but now it's pretty much staying around 50-48 and dipping really low when I'm riding the bike. I tried a bunch of different settings and nothing seems to change anything significantly.

lol i did some more research and it looks like others have posted here about fps drops at south lake city distro center. The post I found was from July, so I guess this is just an old issue they didn't fix. wtf

Yea that one area at the beginning of ch3 is really demanding, moreso than any other part of the map.

Or thats how it seemed to me, after upgrading my cpu from a 8370 to a 3800x it totally fixed it, I would think your cpu would be enough, if that's the root of the issue.

Maybe think about what you can do to improve that cpu performance, have you got the ryzen power plan running? Maybe turn on ultra low latency mode in nv control panel to limit cpu frame queuing?

This laptop has a few different performance modes so I tried out Turbo and set Ultra low latency and that seemed to have helped immensely. Are there any other settings in the NV control panel I could tweak? I really appreciate the tip!!
