Recommended difficulty?
I am about to start my first play through today but remember hearing some one say lots of mechanics get under used in the lower difficultys. What do you think is the best one to play on?

I like hard, personally. Past that and the fights get a bit sponge-y.

I play on hard and you may die a few times to some bosses but it’s not particularly hard.

Hard is great, very hard add a lot of HP on boss and it's not really interesting

Apparently, I’m the only one that likes bullet sponges. So I play on the hardest. Why do I like bullet sponges? Because it gives me a sense of accomplishment rather than plowing through the game and feeling like it was all for nothing. I like having to sometimes suffer and hunt for resources in the middle of a fight. I start every game on the hardest. I’d rather make the most of a game the first round than flying through the first round then wonder if I should play again the 2nd round knowing all the secrets. This game isn’t even that hard on it’s hardest. I actually wish there was a harder mode to make it truely difficult.

There's really not much difference between Normal/Hard/Very Hard outside of the boss encounters. Timefall damages containers faster and you trip a bit more easily, but it's so subtle that I barely noticed it. IMO just stick to Normal/Hard and switch to Very Hard later for premium deliveries so you can get the maximum rank.

What accomplishment though?
The fact that you were able to shoot x amount of bullets into one enemy? Yeah, great accomplishment right there.
I'd rather have bosses with different movesets that is generally harder to beat/hit instead of a boss that has an endless healthbar you just have to hit countless times.

Yeah, bosses getting faster, more aggressive and having new attacks would really help spice up the higher difficulties. MULEs do get a bit better AI which is great, but overall I'm pretty disappointed by the difficulty levels in this game. You spend 90% of your playtime doing deliveries, and this aspect is barely affected by difficulty.

i've made ti to chapter 9 on v'hard and there certainly have been a few challenges along the way. At the end of the day it doesn't matter though anyway because you can never fail, you just go to the stream and repatriate come back and fix your mistake, which is very easy to do.

I've only played on Very Hard so far, apparently MULEs and Terrorists drop more of the high-density resources on that difficulty. Also of course the Spongey Enemies, so you gotta carry more Weapons.

The I SURVIVED accomplishment. It’s not like we are shooting at a non moving rock with 10,000,000 health. I like long drawn out matches. If the enemy restores its health then even better! I absolutely LOVE the tug of war matches.

Hard seems to be where it's at, a fair challenge without enemies feeling like they are spongy and tedious.

The game is already very easy on "very hard", so wouldn't try anything less than max.

very hard is somewhat easy, and i'm not an hardcore gamer... at the beginning i had some difficulties but nothing extreme
