I know, but as a owner of the original you can't post anything. Not even a review. What's with silencing people like that? It's not like the original was poorly made or broken.
It goes against the very message in the game. Connecting.

It's sony. They will never do this lol. They anounce ds2. Look how after original version, they will do the same and push dc version. You can screenshot this comment.
Did it just change publishers or something?
If so then shouldnt original owners have got a free upgrade at least? After all other games have done that especially when removing the old version from the store entirely.
At least i won the directors cut on Epic games (got that free a year or 2 ago) during their xmas event.
If a game is removed from the Steam Store, any links to its former page will redirect you back to the front page.
Steam Community pages like this forum for example aren't affected however.
Some games allow existing owners for a free upgrade but it all depends on the developer and publisher. Death Stranding's publisher, 505 Games, has gotten notoriety for trying to make existing owners pay extra to upgrade their games. They did it with Remedy's Control Ultimate Edition, and they did the same for Death Stranding: Director's Cut.
One example of this sadly is Unreal Tournament (1999), when EPIC finally shut off the master server for the title.. decades after release. It's a really old title, and I'm not sure that sort of server support would have cost them much at all, but because (as a company) they've chosen to officially close support, removal from Steam Store also ensues.
it really isn't
what it trades in stability it loses in terms of being vastly buggier and generally worse-looking (excessive ghosting and frame-pacing), and all it adds is content that was excised for a reason (because it's hilariously imbalanced or otherwise not very good) and a PvP mode that was a complete afterthought
What should i do? Upgrade to the Directors' cut or keep the previous version and play it ?
