Offline Vs Online ?
I heard game is too easy and immersion breaking if you play online cuz theres buildings, ropes, ladders, signs, roads and stuff everywhere.
Can I play offline since beggining and continue playing without internet acsses? How hard game will be offline? Someone said it takes too long to build roads solo? Do they plan on maybe contricting server size from 100 to like 25 players?
p.s. when do u guys think this will be on sale? It's been out for consoles a good while now so we should expect a pc steam sale rather soon, no?

Yeah, having other's objects appear in your game makes traversal across the map much easier and I think it does ruin some of the exploration aspects. In my first several hours of gameplay I didn't place a single item myself because everyone else's ladders/bridges worked just fine for me. And seeing some constructs off in corners of the map you haven't explored can give you hints (that you may not have wanted) about where some hidden locations/items might be. Not to mention other player's signs can get kinda spammy in some places.

On the other hand, building everything yourself can start to get tedious (especially the roads), but you might enjoy that aspect of the game.

Concerning roads, it's been my experience that they mostly do NOT get built and placed in your game without you directly contributing to them (and I think the game is actually designed to be that way). For most all roads in my game so far, I have contributed at least a quarter of all the materials myself and I find that to be an appropriate amount to make me feel like I contributed significantly, without making it a boring or tedious chore.

Yes.

Not much harder, but a bit.

Some segments require massive amounts of resources that you simply can't carry all at once, so yes, it will take a long time.

No idea. I haven't heard anything in that regard.

Maybe next year, at best.

Define "long time" and "massive amounts". Maybe later in the game it gets worse, but with a bike or truck one can carry a lot of materials in one trip, and even a couple trips on foot isn't necessarily what I'd call a "long time", but maybe I'm just a very patient person.

Some roads require almost 10k metals, 7k ceramics and 2k chirals. Transporting that much won't be an issue with the truck but sourcing it first is gonna take really long.

they require so much materials only if they're not part of the chiral network
I've never seen so much materials requirements

Good point. Sourcing those materials can be laborious. On the other hand, some might describe that "labor" as "gameplay". :lunar2019smilingpig:

And still I've build most of them by myself, because I wasn't getting road shares, only some resource investment occasionally. I have 36 segments restored and 190k of materials used.

Not really - just a bit more time consuming I'd say. Personally I was using other people's objects a lot - so many of them were utterly useless placed in utterly pointless locations.

The main difference - is bandwidth. Basically based on region level there is limited amount of objects you can get from other people and limited amount of objects you can place yourself. Other people's objects do not your personal bandwidth so it helps to have more objects than what you could have in offline.

If building roads solo concerns you, you still can play online but disable other's signs, buildings, ladders etc. You'll only find others players footsteps, lost cargo, have access to the community stash, mushrooms&stonepiles and get help with the roads. You still have a bit of being linked to others, as you can give in their cargo or receive your lost cargo but dont feel like in an mmo with cancer emojy signs and buildings all over the place. For me the best middle way.

I second this. I think a road can only be completed in your game if you contribute at least a fixed % of its cost. I had only one road get completed from others - and that was one i probably have already contributed enough to beforehand.

I see. Thanks for info. Guess I'll play offline then. I love exploring nyself and dislike people messing with my world. And as long as I can listen to awesome soundtrack while doing more grindy, tedious stuff I'm fine.

So every single aspect can be disabled or inabled? Can I like play it offline since day one and then just decide to allow highways and highways will appear But only them? No signs, ladderd and stuff? If so that's pretty neat.

You have 3 options to work with:
1. Online - Offfline
2. Show Contructions or not
3. Show Signs or not

When playing offline, option 2 and 3 are obviously pointless and you are really offline. But when playing online and turning off option 2. and 3. you still have the things i listed in my previous post, which aren't really useful or helping, i.e. not making your game easier.
I forgot that you can also get help with upgrading your buildings and you get likes when ppl upvote or use your buildings. Which is nice, because who doesn't like it when things you do help and get valued =)
For me, this semi-offline-mode is the most fitting: You dont get much help from others (or basically nothing, as the things you get net you almost nothing of importance) except for the help with building roads, which would be just tedious to do complete solo (althrough there are many road-parts which dont need to be built - i would say a third of all road segments is not needed to drive fast... although their energy conserving property could be an important factor.

So if i want something that takes lots of time solo like a highway I have to live with ladders and ropes as well?
Ehh, I'll pass. Thanks for info. Guess I'll stay clear of online for now or at least for my first playthrough.

No, you wont get ladders or anything contructable from others when playing online with option 2 and 3 off - but you still get the standard help with roads. I suggest you play online with the options 2 and 3 disabled. If those minor multiplayer parts left still bugger you, you can go offline whenever you want.
