Anybody got tips on doing the timed deliveries late in the game?
I'm trying to do these timed deliveries to the mountain areas. How am I supposed to delivery these heavy orders? I basically have to use these ziplines, using vehicles on the mountains when pressed for speed is impossible. I have ziplines everywhere but I can't carry over 1000. Any tips? I'm so close to S ranking all of these missions but now I'm getting discouraged lol

Drive truck is the way, also some can be done with trike if load weight is manageable.
If you check your map carefully, there is way for vehicles.

Like this order 323 - Doctor to Mountaineer fuel delivery.

i had no problem with that mission. The one I'm stumped with is South Knot to Geologist or Paleontologist. Where you gotta deliver over 1000 Kg in 10 minutes. I suppose I gotta find a way with a truck but man that seems like a total pain/

yeah, was looking at this yesterday myself and was wondering if you could maybe drive south knot to timefell farm and go over the mountain to the Geologist in the truck from there.

Any time the load is too heavy for a zipline, the answer on how to do it is indeed: drive a truck.

Scout the path in advance and drive over it a few times to see where you need some infrastructure, make a path, and how to avoid possible BTs.

It’s possible to reach about every shelter in a truck, even if it looks impossible at first. (At least every shelter that needs a delivery that is too heavy to carry by hand/trike and still meet the s-rank time limit.)

I haven’t reached the main mountain yet, but one example is what I’ve done below the weather station. I’ve installed bridges in key areas over those rocky places to be able to quickly drive over them.

i'm now thinking drive to timefell, link 2 carriers load them & hope that I can carry the rest with an allterrain suit and run up the side of the mountain to the Geologist, 10 mins might be tight depending on BT's but it's the only strat I can come up with at the mo.

ziplines and patience honestly always works. Just build a zipline road than do the delivery. Takes some time but than its always there (except for like one part of the end game)

mate it's nearly a 2 tonne delivery including 5xl 80k pieces of which you can carry a max of 4 of that's not including the other 34 40k items of which make up the order - can you build zip lines from south knot to the Geologist? i'm not even sure there is enough network & it still going to be 2 maybe 3 runs in less than 10 minutes.

I've done it both ways, First was with a truck and a lot of truck jumps over ♥♥♥♥♥♥ areas and the other was just loading everything in private storage and ziplining it piece by piece until all the pieces where out. The truck is way faster but if you don't care about time or score the zipline definitely works better.

One time I had to bomb it in 15 minutes and I went the wrong way. I was so mad I blew up.

tbc here did you do triple L rated deliveries? of course time matters? that's the whole point did you drive from south knot to Geologist in under 10 minutes? what route did you use? did you go via timefell? i'd imagine you would have to as I doubt you could even make Mountain knot in 10 minutes taking the highway let alone reaching the Geologist in under 10 minutes.

Roads and Trucks. Strategic Ziplines too. Remember, you can get around 1k From cargo before it is considered lost. So driving a truck to within 1k of your destination and then ziplining smaller batches is a good strategy.

For particularly rough gaps, it might even be a good idea to pre-position another truck, and use zips to bridge the gap and finish in the other truck. The MULE trucks are extremely valuable for this, as they don't despawn like your fabricated vehicles do. Try to save at least one.

I have no idea who/where this geologist is, but now I want to know. I’ll look forward to these crazy high weight speed orders. :steamhappy:

yeah, this one really is the biggest stinker so far - think i'll leave it for another while took me 15 minutes to get to another mountain delivery from south knot using a bike / zips but, it was way to slow - only an "A" rating and that was a delivery a fraction of the tar samples :D back to the drawing board!
