So except the irrelevant achievement I won't get some nice reward for a number of S LLLs?
Why didn't you say it before. And why do I even bother...
It changes COMPLETELY, of course you didn't notice anything if you've been playing from the start.
Just going from "Normal" to "Hard":
-enemies are more aggressive, deal more damage (MULEs)
-harder to shake off BTs
-Lose more stamina, from more things (I never noticed losing stamina from cold until going to hard, and u lose more stamina in rivers)
-much less stable, more likely to fall over & lose cargo
-BT tar areas are larger (u have to run farther to escape)
-equipment takes much more damage from timefall
-enemies, esp. boss BTs have more HP
Normal was pathetically easy, I started on normal cuz I didn't want a challenge and STILL got bored. Going to Hard was a MASSIVE increase in difficulty, I can't just walk into MULE camps and mash X until I win :(
on the bright side, Hard gives a lot more XP (likes) which lets you level up faster, & levelling up
raises your abilities. I think u also gain stars at bases faster, & get more resources.
I'm tempted to switch to very hard right now but I've heard BT bosses just turn into bullet sponges. Plus timefall is kind of a pain, on hard you can still ignore it for the most part long as you don't hang around in it forever.
I just switched to Very Hard from normal and it is a drastic difference in timefall damage. Snow is absolutely brutal. The backpack cover can make up for it but it won't protect large deliveries. It basically makes zip-line networks required in the mountains.
AI changes didn't really do much. The non-lethal assault rifle can still take down enemies just as fast.
You an also always lower the difficulty if a particular section is giving you a lot of trouble and then put it back up again later. You won't lose anything as previously completed premium deliveries will stay at whatever they were when you completed them.
