its literally the game that is unoptimized, also the minimum specs are 1060 not 970

970 is kind of old for this sorry to say, just get a cheap 1660 super, they have low power supply requierments and run fine and running it at 2k is not going to happen its meant for 1080p for optimal. you really ned beefier cpu for 2k and 4k

I really don't think there's any reason to read them if you have a decent PC. I have two laptops, one more powerful than the other, but even the weaker of the two (i7-9750H & 1660 TI), can run literally every game. It'll be a while till there are games that won't run on it, and it will be much longer till any don't run on the more powerful of the two (i7-10875H & 2070 Super).

Also, I think everyone responding to the OP has misunderstood him. He seems happy to be getting 45 fps, not upset to only be getting 45 fps.

no reason i can think of not to be careful at least

yes he's been bragging for years across multiple forums every single day about his monster PC as he calls it. He is happy with 30 FPS at 1440p in some of the demanding games. If it works for him then that is great but my God it gets annoying seeing him on every forum and tech site comment section out there bragging about his computer like it's super high-end.

I'm not saying to NOT read them, but realistically, if you have a decent system, it will play all games for the next few years just fine. I don't think there's a game in existence that even a 970 won't play, and a 970 is over 5 years old.

Also, Cyberpunk 2077 is being made to run on PS4 and Xbox One. It will run on weak PC's. That said, there's a big difference between running, and running on max settings at high framerates.

It won't be till there are games designed for the new generation of consoles releasing that anything will even come close to being unplayable on a GTX 970.

thats good to know that about CP 2077 but also a game like red dead 2 can run on console and still run like ♥♥♥♥♥ on my pc
oChalko Jul 17, 2020 @ 6:23pm
maybe it doesnt look as good but still it makes zero sense even though my specs match fine
Nauzhror Jul 17, 2020 @ 6:24pm
Not sure what your specs are, but RDR 2 runs fine on my laptop (the one with a 2070 Super, never even tried it on the other one). It runs like ass on max settings, but it runs really well with a few settings turned down.

RDR 2 max settings, 1080P, I average 34 fps in the ingame benchmark. On lowest settings I average 128 fps. On the settings I settled for in the end I average about 70 fps.

That why i havent play RDR2 yet due to all technical problems it has . i will play it later after they fix it.
